Compensation

The compensation target range for this role is:

$95,000 - $100,000

Job Summary

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will develop and design interactive and informative data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate data to diverse stakeholders. You will be responsible for empowering non-technical business partners to access and analyze sales data from Purple's website, owned retail stores, and wholesale channels. This is a critical role that will enable leadership to make data-driven strategic business decisions.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and design interactive and informative data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that empower non-technical business partners to access and analyze data independently.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and fill gaps in current reporting and dashboards, refine visualizations, and address evolving data needs

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and business objectives, ensuring visualizations and reporting align with organizational goals

• Continuously improve on all aspects of reporting from the source data to the final report

• Provide training and support to internal teams on both accessing data and interpreting and utilizing data visualizations and reports effectively

• Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, availability, and accessibility. Research data anomalies and issues

• Conduct data quality assessments and ensure accuracy and consistency in visualizations, adhering to data governance standards

Required Skills, Education, Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

• 5+ years of experience building intuitive and actionable data visualizations that drive business decisions, preferably with experience in consumer goods/branded goods or retail

• Advanced skills with data source creation and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Domo or Power BI

• Experience writing complex SQL queries to pull data from data warehouses. Experience with Snowflake a plus

• Basic understanding of data modeling skills using measures and dimensions. Build custom datasets for reporting where required

• General knowledge of sales KPIs for cross-channel measurement

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders

• Highly organized with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workload and appropriately escalate when necessary
