Summary: The Business Intelligence Analyst has an incredible opportunity to work directly with the Distribution management team and partners of the organization to define operational and financial Service Level Targets and Key Performance Indicators for our entire distribution network. They will work with and serve various internal and external partners to identify source data and automate the provision of disparate sources of data into a data lake for Business Intelligence Reporting. This role will provide leadership, experience and knowledge to the BI Team and will be responsible for developing, testing and building BI dashboards and analysis tools for the business that enables effective decision making, supports business objectives/data strategy roadmap and influences strategic thinking. The ideal applicant will have extensive experience of Power BI and other BI tools and be fully proficient in the completion of Power BI dashboards. Experience of the initiation of BI landscapes would be a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion the provisioning of data to modern Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboards and Reports. Defining the business intelligence capabilities that satisfy the broader business objectives and value proposition. Ensuring that the business capability requirements align to the business intelligence and data strategy roadmaps.

  • Develop automated, thoughtful visualizations, dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards using modern BI tools such as Microsoft's Power BI, Cognos, etc. Assist with governance and deployment of BI Reporting, including administration, content distribution/sharing, training and support.

  • Participate in discussions with business partners to define key business questions, translate them into necessary requirements documentation and develop visual data-driven solutions which answer those questions. Facilitating cross functional requirement sessions about complex information needs and documents requirements. Work with our internal customers to have a controlled, coordinated pipeline to formalize changes and dissemination to other sites.

  • Manipulating raw data to understand the ultimate design required to meet business requests. Develop calculations in SQL and Power BI measures which are accurate and performant on large datasets.

  • Owning and becoming the point of contact for all business intelligence and analytics work. Managing a portfolio of dashboards and lead role in meeting Business Intelligence Strategy. Staying updated on emerging data analytics technologies, tools, and trends and provide thought leadership on their application for driving business growth.

  • Collaborate and work with the global BI and IS team as and as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • 3+ years of experience with Power BI/Tableau development, visualizations and deployment; 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft BI stack, including TSQL, PowerBI, Power Query, DAX, M , MDX, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS; 3+ years of experience with configuration/management of Microsoft Power BI or similar tool, extracting, manipulating and analyzing data via Dataflows, Datamarts, Dashboards and Apps to recommend and/or take action

  • Practical and proven experience of implementing a BI Architecture across markets, specifically using Power BI.

  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.

  • Flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding new technologies.

  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute BI Plan.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Disciplined, self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and accurate reporting.

  • Clear, confident and articulate communicator - able to present information verbally and in writing with clarity and credibility, ensuring the information is suitable for the audience at that time.
