  • Possess experience in leading and providing technical direction involving multiple projects of high complexity.

  • The ability to read, write, speak, and effectively communicate using the English language in oral and written communications.

  • The ability to work independently; work well with others in a team environment; and function effectively in difficult, emotionally charged situations.

  • Demonstrate communications skills with all levels of management.

  • Demonstrate experience in directing the completion of projects within estimated timeframes.

  • Possess specific, recent, and relevant supply chain management experience in DoD

  • Deliver presentations and lead senior level client meetings.

  • Working knowledge of Client's EBS design and configuration, both JDA and SAP

  • Understanding of EBS and DSS processes in order to provide credible assessment of Information Technology (IT) impacts.

  • Working knowledge of QLIK Sense and SAS Studio.

  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff throughout the engagement lifecycle and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews.

  • Assist partners and senior management on proposals and business development calls.

  • Gain comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagements.

  • Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.

  • Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.

  • Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

  • Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)

  • Interview campus and/or experienced candidates..

  • Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.

  • Secret Clearance required.

  • Shall possess an advanced degree (Master's degree or higher) in a field applicable to this position, i.e., logistics, engineering, business, operations research, mathematics or other related discipline.

  • Must have 10 or more years' experience in logistics or related field of progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector.

  • Must possess 5 years' experience supporting DLA.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.

  • U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.

  • Travel may be required.

  • Coach and mentor junior staff members.

  • Ability to work overtime required on occasion.

  • Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.

  • Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.

Summary of Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities The primary purpose of this position is to provide coordination to the IT functions of Volunteers of America, Inc. ("VOA") and Volunteers of America National Services ("VOANS") including hardware and software acquisition and implementation, in order to establish efficient and user-friendly systems. The successful candidate must understand the impact of technology on operational and organizational issues and is expected to foster a technological framework that operates to support both the initiative and the staff responsible for doing the work. This position will also serve as a resource and point of contact for Volunteers of America 31 geographic affiliates across the country on technology, software and data issues. All activities must support the strategic goals and objectives of VOA and VOANS and produce results that accomplish the goals of the organizations. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. To perform this job successfully, an individual should be familiar with computer software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. In addition, the candidate must have strong communication and client-service skills to able to convey information about technology effectively to program staff both at VOA/VOAN, but also at local VOA affiliates. The candidate must be able to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks and have a demonstrated ability to select and successfully implement new software and hardware. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor's Degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, or other related field. Experience in project management or supervision, especially projects that required changes to programs, roll-out of new procedures, policy, software, or similar organizational changes is preferred. Previous experience managing technology and staff is preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under VOA/VOAN's policies. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
