Q2 is seeking a Business Insights Analyst for the SDK and Partner Relationship team. This person will be a trusted advisor to various Engineering and Business Development leaders by delivering actionable insights and analytics into the strategic decision-making process. This is a high-visibility role contributing to a new team chartered to build new technology to unlock an untapped market. This is a small but highly experienced team of engineers and business development team members working closely together.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the Partner Relationship and SDK team to understand the customer base and produce valuable insights into usage, demand, and market opportunities.

  • Take high level questions about business operations and turn them into reports that can be run regularly.

  • Aggregate data from a variety of internal and external sources to produce actionable insights for strategic product decisions.

  • Work across the Q2 organization to understand the technology and business process to extract meaningful data from other teams.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience applying analytical techniques to provide solutions to real business problems

  • Ability to tell meaningful stories with data

  • 2+ years of experience with PowerBI, Oracle BI, Looker, Tableau, Sisense or other similar business intelligence software solutions.

  • 2+ years of SQL, data modeling, and relational database experience

  • Experience analyzing large data sets using data mining techniques (Ex: SQL queries, data profiling, sampling, exploratory analysis, statistical analysis using Python & R)

  • Experience delivering reports and insights to executive stakeholders

PREFERRED

  • Experience working on a team delivering a technical product

  • Experience analyzing web applications and technologies

  • Advanced skills using one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, bash, etc.) a plus
