  • Advanced leadership skills (proven track record of leadership experience)

  • Expert data gathering, analytical and data visualization skills.

  • Independent, logical thinker with strategic view of reporting offerings and proven ability to translate clients business requirements into technical and business strategy for team and to help clients with business requirements definition and data understanding.

  • Experienced and comfortable making presentations to product line leaders, Directors and Executive Leadership across multiple product lines.

  • Advanced ability to work well with team members and Conifer leadership, respectful of all positions at all levels, as well as complete tasks independently and professionally.

  • Advanced organizational, communication, customer service, interpersonal, time-management, mentoring and QA skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and multiple Conifer product lines.

  • Advanced level knowledge of relational database management systems such as AS/400, Showcase, MS Access, MS SQL Server/MySQL and reporting systems.

  • Advanced level SQL language skills (creating/optimizing queries and stored procedures).

  • Advanced level knowledge of desktop applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint).

  • VBA, Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy or similar a plus

  • Intuitive - Has the ability to figure out what customers need or what would be helpful to the customer before it is either brought up by them or requested by them; helps customers understand data and helps user define reporting needs.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

  • 4 year college degree in Business, Accounting, IS, Engineering or 8 years of related experience

  • Healthcare experience

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Knowledge of MS-DRG classification and reimbursement structures * Understanding of appropriate level of care orders * Working knowledge of Value Based Purchasing (VBP) * Proficient at writing AHIMA complaint physician queries * Adept at comparing documentation, code assignment and charge in the financial system for accuracy and completeness and elevating concerns to the appropriate manager * Proficient in researching and responding to Business Office questions and/or question by the payer * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the duties of the position * Ability to concentrate and accomplish tasks with explicit accuracy * Ability to use office equipment and automated systems/applications/software at an acceptable level of proficiency * Functional knowledge of facility EMR, encoder and other support software EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job. * One to three years' experience performing medical record coding in acute care setting required * High school graduate or equivalent is required * Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information, Nursing, or other related field, or formal coding classes completed and passed preferred. Years of coding experience would be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
