Overview

The Business Director develops and executes the business group strategic direction that is in line with the corporate strategy and objectives. Delivers on revenue and EBIT targets set for the business group. Drives market development and penetration as well as revenue growth across Nonin's product portfolio. Leads a cross discipline team in a matrix environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Establish objectives and work projects for the business group, allocating resources and managing P&L

  • Grow Nonin's global footprint by constantly searching for expansion and growth of business, through assessment of the commercial, financial and operative processes.

  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to identify and maximize sales channels

  • Connect the business group to the Commercial and Shared Services teams, leveraging matrix relationships to align others for efficient strategy execution

  • Develop, lead, and have overall management responsibility for the business group team members

  • Create/keep current/execute on product roadmap using direct and shared resources (due diligence including NPOA)

  • Create product roadmap with due diligence of product opportunities incorporating NPV of realizable product roadmap

  • Drive customer representation and Nonin requirements related to product lifecycle management and other internal processes to include: input to product design in new product development, inventory allocation to the customer, acquisitions and divestitures, and recall/withdrawal management

  • Champion continuous process improvement efforts to better meet customer and business group needs

  • Develop and maintain an effective communication process with other Business Directors and Functional Leaders to ensure organizational alignment

  • Develop a budget plan and manage the business group within budget constraints, driving for financial efficiencies

  • Collaborate with Business Directors and functional leaders to set priorities for shared resources, establish product roadmap efficiencies, and identify sales channel efficiencies

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field

  • 10+ years related experience with progressive leadership roles; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience

  • Management experience

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute strategy to drive value

  • Proven experience in developing individuals and teams

  • Strong collaboration skills, able to influence and have a creative mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's Degree

  • Market development experience

  • Global matrix organization experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit, and/or stand 8 hrs/day.

  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time

This position is responsible for identifying white space opportunities and conducting assessments of new markets and companies. Furthermore, he/she may be required to lead and/or participate in due diligence or integration of potential mergers and acquisitions. This individual will be responsible for managing business relationships and identifying partnership and distribution opportunities.
