SharpSpring is seeking a sales-oriented leader to help lead SharpSpring's team of Business Development Representatives. You will be responsible for ensuring the team's goals and business initiatives are met by coaching and mentoring your team to excellence every day. Your team of BDRs will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and converting all leads generated by our marketing activities. You will be directly responsible for the productivity of the team, the quality of their work, and the overall efficiency of the department. We're looking for a high energy, motivating, and dynamic leader with experience managing the day to day operations of a sales-driven call center environment.

The Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of up to 10 remote and/or Gainesville-based BDRs

  • Ensure the team's goals are met

  • Monitor and report on individual and team call metrics on a daily basis

  • Provide candid, professional, and timely feedback on performance

  • Use reporting tools, product knowledge, and sales strategies to coach and mentor the team

  • Provide performance trends and analysis to the team and company leadership

  • Participate in recruiting by interviewing and training new team members as needed

  • Monitor BDR calls and provide coaching and assistance as needed

  • Maintain reporting for BDR performance metrics

  • Evaluate each BDR's performance monthly

  • Manage all BDR PTO requests

  • Submit team members' timesheets for payroll through ADP

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 3-5 years equivalent experience required

  • 3+ years of sales experience as an individual contributor

  • 2+ years of successful team management experience; call center management is preferred

  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM is a must

  • Extremely flexible with ability to adapt to change in a highly dynamic, sales-driven work environment

  • Tech-savvy with an interest in working with modern software technology

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, the Internet, and Basic Math Skills

  • Experience with Marketing Automation would be a huge plus

  • Thrives working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment

  • Experience with VoIP software is a plus

This role is a mix of inbound and outbound calling. You will be responsible for qualifying leads generated through marketing activities such as whitepapers, webinars, and third-party lead generation sources and you will also be responsible for researching, identifying, and prospecting for new customers via cold calls and emails. Our BDRs are responsible for contacting leads, communicating SharpSpring's value proposition, and scheduling demos for the Sales Team. You will serve a key role in helping the company reach and exceed sales targets! The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, have a positive, customer service-oriented attitude, and the drive to take ownership of their role. You will be responsible for building rapport with leads and effectively managing your pipeline. The BDR role is ideal for someone who is looking for an opportunity at a fast-growing company. The Responsibilities * Outbound calling and emailing to identify, nurture, and transform marketing-qualified leads into sales-ready leads * "Pitching" potential clients on the value of a product demo * Successfully overcoming prospective customer objections * Scheduling SharpSpring demos with the Sales team * Tracking lead activity in SharpSpring's CRM * Use of video recording software to make interactive videos to personalize outreach with prospective partners * Analyzing and reporting on the success of efforts to turn marketing-qualified leads into opportunities * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of potential clients for effective follow-ups * Scheduling and partaking in callbacks to assess and understand the potential client's needs/desires, discuss marketing automation and educate them on SharpSpring * Providing campaign feedback to the Marketing team to improve lead quality * Consulting with and updating team supervisor on progress and action plans * Attending team meetings aimed at growth, understanding, and collaboration * Strategy planning, both individually and as a team The Person * Cold-calling and/or B2B sales experience preferred * SAAS selling experience preferred * Minimum of two years sales experience preferred * Demonstrated sales aptitude; assertive, persistent, good listener, self-motivated and coachable * High comfort level communicating on the phone * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Well organized and flexible with effective time-management skills * Goal-oriented, able to meet and exceed monthly goals * Knowledge of CRM or marketing automation software preferred * Self-confident with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment * Able to work independently as well as on a team * Bachelor's in business administration, marketing, or related field preferred * Ability to be a brand ambassador for SharpSpring: Be inspiring, ambitious and fun!
