Summary :

Manage programs in support of HP Services & Telco business development and strategic partnerships globally

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist business development director in exploring new services opportunities, financial analysis, biz case approvals and agreement negotiation

  • Program manage execution and results reporting of HP Services business development programs

  • Assist regional Telco leads in securing operator agreements to range HP WWAN enabled devices or joint go-to-market (GTM) partnerships

  • Program manage development, execution and results reporting of HP / Telco joint GTM programs

  • Engage with Services & GBU product development teams for program management of Services & Telco programs. Form and lead integrated teams required to deliver programs and drive results

  • Responsible for managing programs and developing execution plans with key milestones which define the objectives, deliverables and detailed plans. Negotiate alternatives to achieve an executable plan that meets the program objectives

  • Responsible for, assessing resources needed and obtaining resource commitments from key partners

  • Responsible for surfacing issues and disconnects within the program and managing all such issues to resolution

  • Manage and lead cross-functional team activities. Acts as the first level of escalation when issues and/or priorities cannot be resolved at the team level. Ensures ownership of escalations.

  • Sets objectives and priorities and drives tradeoff decisions between program plans / schedules. Ensures ownership by appropriate team, manager or organization

  • Influence partner organizations to meet program objectives

  • Effectively and proficiently communicates status, issues and resolutions to the program team and key stakeholders

Key Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent

  • 5+ years' experience in similar role from a device manufacturer or services/telco company

  • Demonstrated project management fundamentals experience including defining, scheduling, tracking, communicating status and managing projects

  • Demonstrated effective English communication, presentation, negotiation, planning, organization and facilitation skills

  • Demonstrated executive presentation development skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and understand a diverse set of organizations and functions

  • Demonstrated breadth of knowledge and understanding of hardware, software, manufacturing, marketing and financial issues and technologies

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, generate plans, and communicate effectively and diplomatically

  • Preferred Knowledge and

    Skills:
  • Experience with HP product and solution lifecycles

  • Experience with HP supply chain processes for cost management

  • Experience influencing solutions across global regions

  • Wireless industry experience preferred

  • Program Management (PMP/PMI) certification preferred

  • Proven ability to multitask with strong team-work spirit

The Role: The Market/Business Development Manager is responsible for formulating growth strategies that measurably improve the business' market position, drive differentiated customer experiences and achieve financial growth in a particular end customer segment. The role will combine market intelligence, data-driven insights and a deep understanding of customer needs to identify trends, "white space" opportunities, and develop areas of competitive advantage to drive revenue growth. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: Market Intelligence: * Sources and interprets multiple and complex data sets (from internal and external sources) into insights that lead to profitable business actions. * Produce a robust multi-year "Market Map" based on identification of under-served customer markets, monitoring of industry trends and high-growth, attractive market/technology drivers. Regularly gathers and analyzes business, market and competitor information and supports the development of the strategic marketing plan. * Leads Voice of Customer programs to solve strategic growth questions for the business and sense for latent customer needs. New Business Development: * Develops go to and get-to market strategies for existing products/applications/markets in geographies where market share is low compared to goals and/or are targeted areas for growth. * Works closely with the Demand Generation Manager to develop targeted lead generation and brand building marketing campaigns that can be directly attributed to revenue growth. * Identifies potential market adjacency opportunities. * Works with channel partners to build their business. * Partners with sales to identify strategic accounts and provide insights, training, or other support as needed. * Performs thorough assessments of the potential for specific new target markets and technology opportunities and develops go-to and get-to market strategies to pursue these opportunities Growth Partnerships: * Builds industry and customer alliances and participates in industry/trade organizations. Identifies potential business partners and scouts for M&A opportunities. * Develops content for and/or participates in training events for customers and sales organization. * Demonstrates thought leadership by presenting in industry seminars, leading webinars and publishing white papers. Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification: * BA or BS in Marketing, Business or Engineering 8-15 years of related experience. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills. * Knowledge of principles and methods for driving growth and value creation. * Balance strategic and tactical efforts - Ability to get credible results/wins working one-on-one with sales & ops AND providing a clear 3-5 year framework for accelerating profitable growth. * Ability to create followership and influence – get teams rallied around the business especially in sales & product management by informing, listening, convincing, and persuading others to action on key growth initiatives. * Collaboration and teamwork.
