As a Business Development Specialist, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your territory by identifying sales opportunities through a variety of lead sources. You will develop customer relationships, qualify sales opportunities and close/commit the sale to implement LPis internet based solutions.

The successful candidates will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years business and sales experience

  • Highly effective communication skills, especially telephone skills

  • A passion for technology and solution based selling

  • A strong comfort level with technology, CRMs, and screen sharing software

  • Occasional overnight travel is required to participate in trade shows, conferences, LPi sponsored events, and customer events (10-20%)

  • All applicants must possess a valid drivers license

The OEM Business Development Manager works to grow ABB's market share through attracting new OEM customers and by increasing spend of existing customers. This role gives the successful candidate an opportunity to develop business strategy while working in a teaming environment. 2019-07-08 Senior professionals ( > 5 years of work experience) Tasks: Develop and propagate a vertical industry segment focused, OEM account based growth strategy. Develop this strategy in alignment with global and local business initiatives Immerse yourself in the virtual global product group sales organizations and key account managers. Understand the target segment markets, including companies, ABB share at companies, products, projects, sales cycles, value propositions and which market strategies can be used to attract clients. Possess a strong understanding of our product capabilities and differentiators, along with the price, promotion, positioning for use in strategy development Work closely with Sales Managers, Manufacturer's Representatives, Distributors and Direct Sales Resources to execute OEM business plans across multiple channels to market. Meet or exceed assigned sales budget in targeted business segments, accounts and territories. Train and develop regional sales people specific sales techniques, networking, customer relations unique to OEM sales along with contract negotiation and risk management. Work with regional sales teams to develop a consistent, detailed forecasting and reporting regiment in alignment with overall local business unit forecasting and reporting. Maintain and communicate working knowledge of applicable laws that govern fair trade and distributorship laws nationally and locally. Conduct research to understand and communicate new technologies, applications, acquisitions, leadership changes for existing and targeted OEMs in the targeted segments Develop a process from business case through delivery for brand labeled, modified, and co-developed OEM specific product to be used by regional sales resources Maintain key customer relationships at the executive level. Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations Requirements: Basic Qualifications: Associates' degree and 10 years' experience in industrial automation sales and/or direct OEM sales OR Bachelors' degree and 8 years' experience in industrial automation sales and/or direct OEM sales * A Master's Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience. * A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience.
