What we are looking for:
The Business Development Specialist will serve as a lead generation role for the Hospital and Health Systems business unit to drive new sales opportunities through in-bound lead follow up and outreach efforts to secure quality introduction calls/meetings for field sales.
What you will do:
Sales qualify leads based on established criteria to secure introduction calls/meetings for field sales that generate new sales opportunities
Follow up on pre-determined groups of prospects for further nurturing using phone, email and social channels
Report weekly results and forecasts to the marketing and sales organizations
Provide input to improve/refine lead gen process
BA/BS degree, preferable in business.
A minimum of 3 years sales experience, preferable in selling SaaS based solutions
Experience in the healthcare industry and/or wellness industry a plus.
Proven track record of prospecting experience with directors to C-level
Strong hunter mindset with B-to-B consultative selling experience of SaaS-based solution in healthcare
Fundamental understanding of the US healthcare market and hospital purchasing practices preferred
Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM/sales systems
Strong verbal and written communication
Active listening to assess prospect needs and opportunities
Ability to articulate a reasonable premise for every call
Ability to perform prospect and account research to prepare for calls; uses social media tools to monitor targeted accounts and identify trigger events for follow-up
Ability to interpret data from marketing automation platform to personalize outbound communications
Discipline to maintain high call volumes (minimum 40 outbound calls per day)
Natural curiosity to interface with others and asks questions; not easily intimidated by lack of knowledge or the seniority of the prospect
Exhibits empathy for other's problems and challenges
Competitive and motivated; self-starter who takes initiative to achieve goals
Team player who is coachable and has an eagerness to learn
Desires to continue to learn, be it to further his/her career in inside sales or perhaps to move into a field position
