This Dynamic Business Development/Sales Position will support Intertek's Building Products Testing and Certification business in northeast region of the U.S.A. This position encompasses direct sales activity focused on Business to Business relationships. We are looking for a driven sales person that is self motivated, with an entrepreneurial approach to their work.

Duties:

  • Sell Intertek's services within assigned vertical, account and territory through effective client research, prospecting and networking

  • Work with Sales Manager to define and develop territory to increase new and existing sales

  • Spend approximately 50% of the time outside interfacing with new and existing identified target clients

  • Meet with current and prospective customers via client presentations and participation at trade shows

  • Write and follow up on proposals, specify appropriate standards and pricing

  • Provide outstanding customer service.

  • Meet all activity targets and log activity in to iConnect (CRM)

  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 3-5 year(s) prior successful sales experience preferred

  • Business to business sales experience is preferred

  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and superior presentation skills

  • Must be energized and self-motivated and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge and proficiency with a sales CRM program

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

  • Physical dexterity/mobility to travel via car, airplane and to perform all clerical functions inherit to the position

Our Tekgard division specializes in engineering customized thermal management solutions for military, government, and industrial applications. Currently we have openings in our York facility for a Lead Engineer, Product Development. SUMMARY: This is a hands-on position and involves all aspects of planning and managing Product Development projects from bid and proposal (B&P) to final deliverables. Perform mechanical and thermal design and analyses to support project requirements. Manage all aspects of engineering projects including concept generation, proposal development, project schedule, personnel allocation, progress tracking, customer interaction, and budget control. Manage multiple projects, engineers and technician staff. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: * Assist Sales and Marketing personnel in evaluating potential opportunities. * Write proposals and/or quotation for customers including Bill of materials and engineering hours estimates, as required. * Conduct electrical, mechanical, structural, and thermal design analyses per customer specifications. * Generate technical data package including drawings and recommended spare parts lists per customer requirements. * Document reports, both interim and final, detailing program progress, problems, and proposed solutions. * Communicate progress with customer using tools such as an Integrated Master Schedule, Action Item List, Risk Register, etc. * Generate, disposition, and implement Engineering Change Notices and generate Configuration Management Accounting Sheets, as required. * Mentor engineers and technicians by completing Quarterly Performance Reviews with Product Development staff * Help recruit and interview new engineers and technicians. * Document program schedules. * Establish and document work plan for laboratory technicians to complete proposed tasks. * Evaluate and report test results. * Responsible for the financial performance of the Product Development Team. * Report Product Development Team performance monthly * Forecasting & Budgets * Bids & Proposals * Bookings, Revenue & Expenses * Authorize disposition of Nonconforming Materials. * Coordinate activities with regard to risk assessment, as required. * Conduct a review of customer Contracts, as required. * Follow all company rules and policies. * This includes being familiar with, and following, ITAR/export guidelines pertaining to e- mails, technical information and products designated as either ITAR or export controlled. * Follow Digital Product Definition and Coordinate Measurement Systems procedures, as required. EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE: * B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering or Science related fields such as Physics with a minimum of 8 years in a technically oriented company. * M.S. degree in Engineering Management or M.B.A. is preferred. * Prior experience in using modern design and analysis software such as SolidWorks (CAD), Autodesk, Mathcad etc. * Good verbal and written skills essential. * Managing in-person and web/video presentations is essential. * Prior experience using FEA and/or CFD. * Prior experience in the design and development of custom thermal products. * Prior experience in Sales and marketing of thermal products.
