Roadtex Transportation has become a leader in the nationwide LTL industry, specializing in transporting time and temperature-sensitive products. We handle refrigerated and LTL needs by leveraging no sailing schedules, our nationwide network of 32 strategically placed temperature-controlled facilities, our state-of-the-art tracking, and our specialized equipment and warehousing capabilities. In 2022, Roadtex was acquired by Echo Global Logistics. The acquisition brings a truckload brokerage and expanded transportation management solutions to Roadtex's customers while providing Echo with our national warehouse footprint and advanced temperature-controlled transportation solutions.
Responsibilities:
Qualify new prospects via inside and outside sales efforts
Partner with the Client Sales teams on qualifiers with prospective and existing accounts
Build, maintain and manage account relationships through constant contact and advocacy
Manage contract review
Offer solutions and solve problems for client's shipping needs
Develop and manage RFP process
Make sales presentations to prospective and existing customers
Engage prospective clients at all levels
Reach and exceed targeted revenue goals by closing new business and growing existing client business
Meet with clients to explain value prop and discuss customized solution
Strong business partner with Marketing on creating marketing tools and campaigns to establish a One Roadtex Selling Model
Build interpersonal relationships with key internal stakeholders across the business' i.e., sales and operations teams (Echo and Roadtex), etc.
Requirements:
5+ years of direct sales and business development experience
Transportation/logistics experience required
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Based in Indianapolis highly preferred
Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
Aggressive and competitive nature
Adaptability and flexibility
Quick learner who is successful at multi-tasking
Proven "take charge performer" who has both initiative and a strong bias for action
Enjoys and thrives in fast paced, dynamic work environment
Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent ability in personal interaction
Proven track record to proactively offer advice and solutions in solving Client's problems
