Roadtex Transportation has become a leader in the nationwide LTL industry, specializing in transporting time and temperature-sensitive products. We handle refrigerated and LTL needs by leveraging no sailing schedules, our nationwide network of 32 strategically placed temperature-controlled facilities, our state-of-the-art tracking, and our specialized equipment and warehousing capabilities. In 2022, Roadtex was acquired by Echo Global Logistics. The acquisition brings a truckload brokerage and expanded transportation management solutions to Roadtex's customers while providing Echo with our national warehouse footprint and advanced temperature-controlled transportation solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualify new prospects via inside and outside sales efforts

  • Partner with the Client Sales teams on qualifiers with prospective and existing accounts

  • Build, maintain and manage account relationships through constant contact and advocacy

  • Manage contract review

  • Offer solutions and solve problems for client's shipping needs

  • Develop and manage RFP process

  • Make sales presentations to prospective and existing customers

  • Engage prospective clients at all levels

  • Reach and exceed targeted revenue goals by closing new business and growing existing client business

  • Meet with clients to explain value prop and discuss customized solution

  • Strong business partner with Marketing on creating marketing tools and campaigns to establish a One Roadtex Selling Model

  • Build interpersonal relationships with key internal stakeholders across the business' i.e., sales and operations teams (Echo and Roadtex), etc.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of direct sales and business development experience

  • Transportation/logistics experience required

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

  • Based in Indianapolis highly preferred

  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality

  • Aggressive and competitive nature

  • Adaptability and flexibility

  • Quick learner who is successful at multi-tasking

  • Proven "take charge performer" who has both initiative and a strong bias for action

  • Enjoys and thrives in fast paced, dynamic work environment

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent ability in personal interaction

  • Proven track record to proactively offer advice and solutions in solving Client's problems

This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
