M&S is a multi-office, multi-disciplinary engineering firm that is seeking to add a highly motivated individual to drive revenue growth within an established market. The person will join an existing, highly effective business development team to capture new clients and lead the firms business development initiatives for all services, with emphasis on the public works, water utilities, land development and other tangential markets, such as commercial, industrial and institutional clients within the state of Texas. This position is responsible for lead generation, client outreach, contract administration and client capture. Additionally, this person will collaborate with other team members to generate new marketing initiatives, attend conferences and trade events, and coordinate with other members of the business development teams with growing revenue and margin to meet the firms financial goals.
Primary responsibilities include business development, marketing and client relationship management.
Represent the firms interests in multiple markets including:Activities will require self-started, self-directed outward bound communications to existing and prospective clients.
Public Works, Water Utilities, Commercial and Residential Development, Industrial, Institutional
Additional activities such as proposal writing, conflict resolution, accounts receivable support, contract negotiation, recruitment of staff and new market development may also be required through the course of employment.
Assist with management of clients relationships on behalf of the firm.
Provide feedback loop as part of the quality control and communications for client management.
Provide advice and guidance for corrective action within the operations team, when necessary.
Coordinate information and communicate among all M&S team members and departments.
Lead and prepare responses to formal RFQs and RFPs across all departments.
Track all leads, proposals and submittals within CRM (Vision).
Make presentations to existing and prospective clients (public and private).

This position requires up to 50% regional (Central & South Texas) travel, as well as, involvement and participation in industry trade associations, trade shows, conferences and other industry related events throughout the U.S.
Bachelors Degree in Communications, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience, AEC industry experience required
Demonstrated proficiency in growing revenue in central Texas
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to organize, prioritize, and get things done
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects with attention to detail, accuracy, and high quality standards
