ToxikonCorporation, originally founded in 1977, is a preclinical Contract ResearchOrganization (CRO) headquartered in Bedford, MA. Our mission is to provide highquality pre-clinical research and testing services to the Medical Device,Pharmaceutical, and Biotech industries.

We are seeking an experienced Outside Sales professional to market

Toxikon's preclinical testing services in the following territories: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico and Louisiana. TheBusiness Development Representative will identify, qualify, contact,and provide testing service proposals to new customers. Willgenerate leads, prepare quotes, request protocols, and work with customerservice and laboratory staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in life sciences, chemistry or biology

  • Strong understanding of the testing and service industry, including regulatory agencies, as well as the ability to converse with clients on testing & service needs (for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies).

  • Prior CRO and/or lab experience preferred.

  • Experience with cold calls and client development required Experience with SalesForce.com preferred to contact management.

  • Proven ability to generate new accounts and meet territory account booking projections and revenue targets.

  • Must be self-motivated and a strong team player.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and computer skills required.

  • The ability to handle several projects concurrently is necessary.

  • Must travel at least 50% for face to face client meetings, trade shows, and other industry events.

Weare an ISO certified laboratory, and studies are conducted under numerousguidelines, protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures. Business Development Representatives will be required tolearn about Toxikon services and systems. Must also adhere toToxikon's Standard Operating Procedures, as well as other regulatoryguidelines.

Toxikon is seeking an individual with 5-7 years ofdemonstrated business development (BD) and management experience leading agroup in the life sciences, preferably in a laboratory or testing organization.This will be a full time challenging role in a fast growing medical device andpharmaceutical preclinical research services organization. The idealcandidate will focus on territory mapping and management, mentoring andmanagement of the BD team, traveling to client sites with the businessdevelopment managers, and coordinating business/sales metrics (planning andresults) together with Senior Management and Finance. All data is used tofurther support direction and realignment of the BD organization and individualsto optimize territory penetration and booking targets. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have demonstratedorganizational and leadership experience with various marketing tools as wellas SalesForce.com and Pardot marketing automation. Knowledge and understandingof direct cross selling techniques along with establishment of synergisticbusiness to business partnerships. Successful candidate must possess experiencein establishing an effective selling organization aligned with associatedmarketing and re-branding programs, and working with marketing to optimize andfocus marketing campaigns. Essential Duties Coordinate weekly sales meetings and sales reports with businessdevelopment representatives. Interface closely with Finance to support analysis of territories,book to bill ratios, and other required metrics within the sales organizationfor proper alignment and optimization of selling activities. Provide sales analytics and reporting of all Sales informationwithin relevant platforms (LIMS, Salesforce, other) and provide updates toFinance as requested. Work in team building and communication by supporting DepartmentHeads and client interactions working closely with laboratory ProjectManagement personnel. Assist in providing support to optimize the quotingprocess and close rates. Provide continuous measurement to established sales targets andresults. Overall responsibilities for coordinating all Business Developmentactivities at marketing and technical events, including but not limited to: tradeshows, speaking engagements, whitepapers and collateral literature, clientvisits, seminars, webinars, symposia, and corporate presentations. Maintain conformance with Toxikon's quality mission statement andgoals. Minimum Qualifications * BS or BA preferably in Business Management.
