Business Development Representative (Temporary)

Vecna Robotics seeks a temporary Business Development Representative (BDR) who will be responsible for building and nurturing a pipeline of sales prospects within targeted industry verticals. The BDR will assist in the prospecting of new leads and outreach to prospective customers through a variety of channels. As such, this role requires excellent communication, strategic thinking skills, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is independently motivated, curious worker, and excited to learn more about the robotics industry and assist in the discovery of new business opportunities.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this is a temporary role based in our Waltham, MA office with the potential to develop into a full-time position. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with the outside Sales team to identify and build strategic pipelines across targeted industry verticals.

  • Discover and engage with new sales leads to trigger interest in warehouse automation.

  • Obtain competitive information to develop sales leads, implementing findings from industry research in outreach to develop new client relationships.

  • Partner with the Marketing team to create and distribute customer-focused content.

  • Maintain customer relationship management (CRM) system.

What we are looking for:

  • BS degree in business, engineering, communication, or related field; related experience without a degree considered.

  • 0-2 years of experience.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

  • Excellent strategic thinking skills and attention to detail.

  • Previous sales, business development, or call-center experience is a plus.

  • Strong interest or prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or technology is a plus.
