What does a Business Development Representative do at DarkOwl?

As aDarkOwlBDR, youbringwith you2-3yearsprevious business development experience, plusa desire toadvance toacareer incybersecuritysales.You are a motivated learner,customer-orientedand you enjoyprospectoutreachyou have excellent business research, MS Office, written and verbal communication skills.

We will provide you the training you need to become an expert inDarkOwlaccount qualificationand development, and product demonstrations.As you grow your skills in this position,youcould advancetoaDarkOwlconsultative salesexecutive.

You willbe the first conversationwithand provide the first impression toinboundand outbound prospects and potential clientscomprised ofbusiness and technically minded network-and cyber-security professionals from multiple levelsinaglobalorganization:C-Suite toanalyst levels.You will be responsible for responding to, engaging with and qualifying all leadssourcedfrom website inquiries, conference and events andphone messagesin a timely manner.Fromyourfirst phone call, email orLinkedinconnection, you will be gathering information aboutourprospects motivation to contact us,learning about their business andworking with them to determineif there is a stronguse case forourdarknet intelligence, plus asking them about their process for learning about new technology solutions.

As you become knowledgeable about the cybersecurity space,DarkOwlsproduct line and competition, you willadvanceyourqualified prospects to aninitial live demonstrationdelivered by youbeforeyou introduce them to aDarkOwlSales Executivewho will build on your relationship and convert the opportunities you generate intonew business accounts.

Summary ofResponsibilities:

  • Qualifyinbound leads from different sources
  • Research and Prospect from target accounts and create demand
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Conduct high level discovery calls and professionally presentDarkOwlto potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Customize product solutionsto validateprospects use case for darknet intelligence
  • Develop solid trusting relationshipsso information can be shared about one another
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients andDarkOwlsales executives
  • Meet daily/weekly key performance indicatorsfor producing qualified opportunities
  • Always be learning and stay currentwith new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

What you bring to the table:

  • Demonstratedwork experience in business development
  • SaaS, Cyber Security, or Data Analytics product experience
  • Extraordinary people skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Equally strong business researchonline skills
  • Ability to work through challengesand deliver engaging presentations
  • Self-starter, able to work independently on defined tasks
  • Experience withMS Office, andCRM software
  • Collegedegree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field

Although thisposition comes with a highly flexible/remote work environment, you willwork closelywith the lead generationmanagerand both sales and marketing teams.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000, commensurate with experience, skills and responsibility.
