Your Impact

  • Market the company's products and/or services via telephone and email, often cold-calling leads to gauge interest and create opportunity

  • Generate prospective customers through cold calling and lead qualification from Marketing programs and promotions

  • Direct Pre-Qualified Leads (PQL) to a specific Sales District with high efficiency and prioritization

  • Follow up on pre-qualified leads with sales team to ensure they are processed timely and lead to pipeline creation

  • Document all activities and customer interactions in

  • Set appointments for both Field and Inside Sales Representatives, Account Executives, and prospective clients

  • Identify client needs, provide guidance and information around our products and services with the goal of increasing customer satisfaction

  • Build long-term relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders

  • Seek and develop new business opportunities in the market

  • Report to the Business Development Manager on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales results

  • Stay up-to-date with new products and services, including capabilities and pricing, and on cybersecurity industry trends

  • Be a high energy individual with a strong desire to achieve top results with a dependable, positive "can-do" attitude over the phone and in person

  • Consistently meet or exceed metrics set by leaders and managers

Your Experience

  • Previous work experience in inbound and outbound calls and inquiries

  • Ability to understand technical concepts, possess enthusiasm for technology and to articulate clearly to all levels of technical aptitude

  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role

  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)

  • Track record of achieving sales quotas

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)

  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)

  • Understanding of sales performance metrics

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations

  • BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field

Mitel is looking for a seasoned Senior Director of Architecture and Business Development to join the Mitel Labs/Next Generation team. In this role, you will work with engineering, architecture teams, sales, marketing, and product managers to help formulate and guide strategic direction for Mitel's products, services, and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the UCaaS and adjacent markets and maintain close business and technical relationships with market participants (customers, evaluators, and potential partners) to provide recommendations on how Mitel's solutions can exceed market and customer needs. The Senior Director of Architecture and Business Development will act in a consultative capacity to the business through all stages of a product family's lifecycle including technology strategy and business partnerships. Responsibilities: * Discover, seek and validate new market opportunities by leveraging the company's distinctive competencies and advantages (both with existing and future customers). * Define, quantify and analyze market dynamics (i.e. segmentation, competitive landscape, size, etc.) * Determine the best architecture fit of possible partners including technology reviews to enhance Mitel's strategy. * Identify and cultivate additional market opportunities for Mitel Next products and services, which are aligned with the company's overarching long-term product strategy. * Build a business case and make recommendations regarding buy/build/partner decisions for new products and solutions, or enhancements. * Develop and maintain Mitel's business plan including the customer buying process, pricing, distribution, and go-to-market strategies. * Provide business intelligence such as win/loss analysis. * Establish new external business relationships – including NDAs, co-development opportunities, and initiating partnership agreements and contracts. * Act as a Mitel technical and business representative with technology partners and value-add system integration partners. * Interface with Product and cross-functional teams to understand product direction and areas for innovation. * Support Product Evaluations and Proof of Concept testing with 3rd party products and services. * Evangelize and present various products and solutions to partners, prospects and industry experts.
