Your Role As a HealthStreamer
Position Summary
The Business Development Representatives will assist us in our efforts to generate interest, develop leads, and increase market share. In conjunction with sales leadership, marketing and product management, the Business Development Representative will be responsible for generating, developing and qualifying new leads for the sales organization through telephone, email and product launch campaigns. In addition, this person will be responsible for response, development and qualification of inbound leads received through HealthStream's website, trade shows, CRM tool and inbound telephone inquiries. The Business Development Representative team will work together to achieve a target number of qualified leads in a given year, set forth by sales leadership and described in the Sales Incentive Plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for adhering to all HeathStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
Lead follow up, development and qualification.
Cold calling and through follow up with internal and external customers.
Qualify all leads generated by HealthStream's website, trade shows and inbound telephone inquiries. Deliver leads and accurately forecast results.
Gather relevant information for each lead before qualifying and handing off to sales.
Develop deep understanding of HealthStream's solutions including target audience, value proposition, and best practices for successful implementation.
Lead sales campaigns and collaborative efforts at specific healthcare accounts as assigned by sales leadership.
Based on product line, schedule product demo and drive to meet annual quota
Qualifications
What You Will Need to be Successful
Education, Experience and Knowledge Required
Earned or in pursuit of bachelor's degree in related field or related experience.
Internship or sales-related experience preferred.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Previous Salesforce.com or other CRM experience preferred.
Cold calling and/or lead generation experience preferred.
Excellent customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly develop relationships, ranging from the C suite to departmental directors to end users
High level of integrity and professionalism, properly setting expectations
Comfortable with working independently in an empowering, fast paced, results oriented culture
Leadership qualities to serve as a team player, but willing to take responsibility and accountability. Shares success with team members.
Skills and Abilities Required
Good presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional with high level of integrity.
Ability to travel 0-5% of the time.
Team player with customer services focus and positive attitude.
This position is primarily sedentary in a normal office environment.
Extensive computer usage and use of the phone.
