Overview
We are seeking an Business Development Representative (Outbound) to join our growing Oakbrook Terrace, Il team. (Chicago Area)
We are growing and have made a strategic investment in developing a world-class Business Development Team who serves as the liaison between our prospects and sales teams. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
A Day in the Life
You will develop creative outbound prospecting strategies (calls and emails) to build a target list of organizations that fit our customer profile, while using tools such as Salesforce and SalesLoft
This role is expected to generate a high-volume of cold calls, emails, and social selling activities daily, to uncover prospects' needs and interests in our technology solutions
You will learn about our SaaS-based solutions and the value propositions we provide to different organizations so you may always recommend the right solution for their needs
You're responsible for qualifying opportunities and scheduling transition calls for those interested, facilitating with all parties involved
You will facilitate hand-off calls and meetings between qualified prospects and our internal Account Executives/Managers for a smooth customer transition
This roll will also prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly reports of your prospecting activities and results to the Business Development Manager
You'll be expected to maintain high performance against goals and metrics (I.e., set appointments, qualified meetings, and activity goals weekly/monthly
We are looking for someone who brings
Has experience in an office-like setting, working collaboratively with others, and creating positive customer interactions
1-2 years previous telemarketing / inside sales, or retail sales experience preferred
Inbound sales, cold calling, or outbound prospecting experience is highly desirable
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong ability to multi-task and remain process driven
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Desire to work in a highly competitive sales environment (self-motivated for success)
Familiarity with MS Outlook suite
BS degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or another relevant field
