We are looking for a talented Business Development Representative who will be responsible for providing sales proposals, creating sales orders, and supporting existing customers. Provide technical and application support throughout the sales process.
Main Responsibilities:
Generate new business opportunities by qualifying leads and prospecting through existing business accounts to engage with potential buyers
Determine customer needs, including items beyond initial Customer inquiry
Respond to inquiries via the CRM portal and direct emails
Discuss details with Customer to identify requirements
Identify project timing requirements to follow up accordingly
Identify market pricing and perceived Customer value
Prepare proposals & written quote responses
Follow-up on quotes, identify and address objections
Generate leads using CRM and sales software
Review purchase orders to identify discrepancies in quote
Track, maintain and update all proposals in ERP through project lifecycle
Support trade shows and events and qualify trade shows with marketing team
Assist with procurement of trade show booth/equipment
Continuous interaction with Customers to ensure supporting of all relevant needs to become a key supplier
Ensure understanding of LINK's services and utilization of the engineering experts to support proposals
Identify opportunities for equipment sales and communicate with the appropriate team
Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment
All other related duties as assigned
Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or a related Associate's Degree with 2 years of relevant work experience in an automotive engineering laboratory; equivalent related work experience also acceptable in lieu of education
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sales or Customer Service in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proven experience with an ERP software system for quotes and orders
Demonstrated experience as a highly motivated and self-directed employee
Engineering acumen, especially in mechanical testing of automotive products
Ability to assess customer needs
Commitment to a high level of customer service and satisfaction
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products and services
Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to work well in a team environment
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong independent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Ability to to use a computer
Physical Requirements:
The position is located in a mixed office and test laboratory environment and will involve hands-on work. Physical activity may include lifting (up to 50lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity or sitting for long periods of time.
Ability to speak verbally, and read in English
Ability to see with corrective lenses
Ability to differentiate colors
Ability to hear
Ability to walk
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
