What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
In this position, you will get to:
Develop and execute the short and long-term strategy to grow the US and Canada Steinhauer market for HOFFMAN brand. This will include actively managing the sales process for Steinhauer machines and creating and implementing finance/marketing incentive and loyalty programs that will enable more sales of Steinhauer machines and enclosures.
Meet with customers to develop new relationships, connect our local sales force with customers and quantify opportunities to deliver value according to given timelines, performing market, customer analysis and assessing trends and conditions.
Represent company in client meetings and assist in negotiations/strategy sessions.
Work in conjunction with senior management, sales, product management and marketing teams to align work priorities to achieve high-level business objectives.
Provide business updates to management on a regular basis.
Manage conflicts by fostering excellent communication both internally and externally while maintaining adherence to our sales strategy.
Coordinate field activities related to new products, voice of the customer and communicates new product information to external organizations
Take the lead in prospecting opportunities, leading the strategy of capturing an order, assisting in the preparation of a proposal, presenting the proposal to the client, and following through the process until winning the order. This will require leveraging the local sales force to secure sales while being an active participate to facilitate closure of the sale as required.
Location & Travel: Physical location is flexible but will need to be able to travel up to 70% at times ( 3 days overnight per week ) within the US / Canada. It's preferred this person be within 3 hours of greater Minneapolis MN.
Bachelor's degree preferably in an engineering and/or business focus discipline
8+ years outside sales/business development activities and marketing program management experience.
Knowledge and experience working with CNC machines along with basic skills utilizing CAD software preferred.
Sales experience for capital equipment sales with a long selling cycle.
A desire to find and develop new relationships with customers that are the up and coming technology leaders.
Demonstrated skills for achieving or surpassing results against an internal or external standard of excellence. Shows a passion for improving the delivery of services.
Skill in conflict resolution including the ability to address difference of opinion or fact and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution.
Skills to develop and deliver effective presentations and proposals.
Ability to negotiate by collaborating with others to arrive at a conclusion using compromise, persuasion, and influence, rationale and diplomacy both internally and externally in a selling environment.
Ability to use strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present their views in a clear and compelling manner.
Ability to develop strong relationships in the assigned account markets to assess trends/conditions, and translate these into opportunities to deliver value according to timelines given.
Ability to take initiative and act independently with minimal supervision. Goal and results oriented mindset.
