The Business Development Representative is responsible for helping to expand the company's client base by responding to Marketing Qualified Leads, performing outbound activity related to data collection and appointment setting, and performing organizational mapping for an assigned territory. Will be responsible for engaging with Client Executives through deal close and beyond and staying engaged with Client Success Managers post-close. This individual be responsible for tracking all activities within a CRM tool.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
Performing outbound calls to collect account data
Setting up meetings or calls between prospective and existing clients and Account Executives
Creating organizational dossiers for assigned accounts focusing on company financials, organizational charts, corporate and department level initiatives, and staying abreast of important company updates in the market
Maintaining contact hygiene for assigned territory
Tracking activities in Salesforce and working with Account Executives to create a sales growth plan throughout full opportunity process
Staying engaged with Client Success Managers and responding to Client Success Qualified Leads
Staying up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
Assisting with collateral assembly for Account Executives
YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:
1-2 years' experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
Experience with CRM software
Understanding of sales performance metrics
Ambition to perform in a fast-paced, sales-oriented environment
Confidence to prospect and develop new leads
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and to be a team player
