Job Overview Summary
The Business Development Representative is responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities and building rapport with existing and prospective customers. This role is primarily responsible for building pipeline that will ultimately lead to new customers across all Advarra's Services and Technology Solutions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Source new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting and internal lead qualification
Understand prospect and customer needs through research, discovery and qualification
Liaise with the Sales Team to determine target market. Co-manage sales territories and develop territory plans and a strategy with Sales to achieve new customer and revenue growth targets
Continually maintain and expand your database/funnel of target accounts, prospects and opportunities within your territories
Partner with Marketing to understand and leverage their initiatives, and Sales to tackle territory targets and goals
Track and manage all of your activity and outreach in Salesforce, CRM and our sales automation tool
Maintain all account, opportunity, contact and lead records in these systems
Attend trades shows and other events as needed
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred
1-3 years of BD/ SDR/ Inside Sales experience preferred
Experience in software industry preferred
Experience in clinical research, academic medical centers or Life Sciences preferred
Experience with Salesforce CRM system preferred
Experience with other sales technology tools preferred (Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc)
Physical and Mental Requirements
Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation
Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.
Learn and comprehend basic instructions

Pay Transparency Statement
The base salary range for this role is $45,000 - $85,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
