Your Role

The Business Development Recruiting Manager is on the front line of ourmission. If you love the idea of growing a business, this role is for you. Reportingto the Vice President, you will oversee our staff augmentation / contract laborbusiness development and technical recruitment for the Greater Pittsburgh Areaand beyond. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in therecruitment and technical services sales industries. Daily Duties

  • Use a consultative, client-focused approach to sell our staff augmentation service solutions throughout the Greater Pittsburgh Area initially, with future growth into other geographic markets.

  • Client focus within the ferrous and non-ferrous metals, pharmaceutical, chemicals, oil & gas, and aerospace industries.

  • Identify & qualify potential new clients.

  • Utilize existing personal network to identify new business opportunities in the target markets. Evaluate and implement appropriate new sales techniques to increase the sales volume.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external business leaders and other Tetra Tech team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility.

  • Using a 360 approach, recruit for open positions sourced through the business development process, for positions already identified by the candidate.

  • Develop an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire or as client planning needs dictate.

  • Technical recruitment of mechanical, electrical, automation, civil, structural engineers and technicians within the target industries.

  • Apply social media and other tools to interact with candidates throughout the recruiting lifecycle from scheduling interviews to facilitating the onsite interview process, ensuring a high touch experience.

  • Show an organized, methodical approach for candidate scheduling/coordination.

  • Maintain effective/proactive communication keeping all stakeholders informed.

  • Maintain a well documented sales and recruitment process using SmartSheet.

  • Represent Tetra Tech at various events (Job fairs, School fairs, associations)


  • Bachelor's degree with 5years of experience (Business, Human Resources, Marketing)

  • Proven background in businessdevelopment and technical recruitment

  • Must be able to managedemands with a sense of urgency, while being extremely adaptable and flexible.

  • Must be internet/socialmedia savvy and experienced in mining online opportunities and candidates

  • Knowledge of multipleindustries within the engineering market

  • Ability to master the useof LinkedIn, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to create and maintain relationships with clients, candidates, directors, and other departments

  • Ability to use MicrosoftOffice, Nuance, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Ability to create budgets,gather market information, and present them to various departments

  • Experience with large scaleproject staffing

The principle market focus for this role in oligo, mRNA, and cell therapy customers. Covering major markets in Mid-West / East Coast Up to 50% Travel required. What will you do? * Develop and execute on molecular diagnostic strategy that aligns to the business unit's strategy. * Identify and evaluate potential new business opportunities to sell the Company's products and capabilities to diagnostic customers on a commercial supply basis. * Initiate and develop productive client relationships in multiple functions (e.g R&D, in-licensing, production, procurement, marketing, quality, regulatory affairs) with client companies and at multiple levels within them (scientist, project manager, manager and executive levels), as may be necessary. * Actively participate on, and may lead, cross-functional teams to execute on client opportunities that include adept coordination of legal, licensing, manufacturing, marketing, R&D, etc * Collaborate with Licensing and Commercial Supply and business unit partners to develop business/partnership frameworks for large, complex, often multi-year mutually beneficial partnerships. Make highly informed judgments of value to the customer upon which to develop financial terms for highly customized products, for which easy benchmarks are often unavailable. Negotiate other business terms and conditions. * Understand and act in accordance to applicable licenses and intellectual property, as well as monitor and manage contracts and relationships with clients and possibly the company's in-licensing team. * Determine client needs, respond to inquiries, and resolve problems in a timely fashion. Investigates product issues and ensures satisfactory resolution of customer complaints. How will you get here? * Requires a bachelor's degree in any life science * Advanced degree and/or MBA preferred.
