We're seeking a seasoned Business Development Professional with the potential to propel us to the next level of growth. Your primary responsibility will involve venturing into new territories to bolster our presence in the construction industry. Ideal candidates will possess a background in construction, architecture, engineering, or real estate development. Traveling extensively, up to 75%, is essential for this role, requiring a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience.

Essential Functions:

  • A strategic approach to business development in new states

  • Initiate and execute business development calls

  • Identify prospect issues and provide solutions

  • Track and update prospect progress

  • Develop effective relationships with centers of influence to supplement lead sources

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients, competitors, and industry trends.

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting:

  • Generate a pipeline of potential clients through diverse channels, including networking events, online platforms, and referrals.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns for lead generation.

  • Develop relationships in existing and new markets aligning with organizational goals.

  • Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring exceptional satisfaction.

  • Cultivate new client relationships, understanding their needs and negotiating contracts.

  • Update CRM software with client information and sales activities.

  • Proposal Development and Presentation:

  • Collaborate across teams to create compelling proposals addressing client needs.

  • Deliver persuasive presentations, tailoring solutions to meet specific requirements.

  • Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets, tracking progress and adjusting as needed.

  • Identify revenue-maximizing opportunities within target sectors.

  • Market Expansion:

  • Identify new markets and sectors for potential business growth.

  • Assist with developing entry strategies, evaluating risks and opportunities.

  • Business Development Process Execution:

  • Coordinate and execute the business development process plan with various teams.

  • Assist in strategic changes to continuously improve the process.

  • Brand Awareness:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to increase company brand awareness.

  • Assist in content collection for sales materials, website updates, and social media posts.
