Job Summary:

The Business Development Officer I - Retail is responsible for selling Stewart products and services to customers within an assigned territory or market segment. Responsibilities include building relationships with customers; advising customers on products and services; maximizing profitability on products and services; and acting as a liaison between sales, other departments and customers on products, services and technology.

Job Roles:

  • Build and maintain relationships with prospects and existing customers.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Stewart products and services, as well as competitors' products and services.

  • Develop leads and sales opportunities and follow through with defined sales plan.

  • Analyze and interpret records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred for management.

  • Report business development and sales activity as required by sales manager.

  • Achieve personal sales and profit targets according to sales plan created by sales manager.

  • Maintain an updated target list of prospective, qualified customers in CR and monitor progress in converting from prospective to current customers.

  • Work with other business units to cross-sell Stewart products and services.

  • Represent Stewart in the market and at industry events.

  • Promote open communication between sales, title, escrow and customer service representatives to maintain mutually beneficial, productive internal relationships.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.

Role Specific Knowledge:

  • Systems Knowledge - MS Office, Enterprise CRM, AIM , and Stewart online.

  • Understanding of the key drivers of the title and escrow market including industry trends, company information and knowledge of the competitive landscape.

  • Must also have an understanding of what drives the real estate-related market and how our Customers and Prospects successfully operate within this market.

  • Knowledge of Stewart products/solutions a plus.

  • Strong communication, leadership, customer service, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years sales experience (Title Insurance industry experience preferred).

Supply Chain) Business Area to understand the domain strategy, and develops the IM strategic roadmap to support the Business strategy. Ensures that the systems, information, and technology portfolios within the assigned domain provide high quality, low cost operating services while supporting the Domain Strategy. This position is the primary contact of the IM organization with the Business, acting as a strategic consultant to provide consulting support to business management on applying technology to business opportunities, as well as coordinating, planning and implementing of cross-functional solutions. Liasion to ensure the Domain needs and agendas are fulfilled through IM and its service providers. Responsible to ensure comprehensive business cases are developed engaging all IM internal functions and 3rd party service providers. The position leads the IM function operates as a change agent and must have excellent impact and influence skills. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Provide strategic lT leadership within functional departments in partnership with Business leaders and IT managers. * Oversees the solution architecture, development and implementation of multiple, complex, corporate-wide systems and deploys solutions that are in alignment and support the AUSA Retail Strategy & IM Roadmap for assigned domain. * Organizes, directs and executes the planning, analysis, selection/development, implementation and operation support of business information systems, processes and needs to support the AUSA Retail Strategy & IM Roadmap for assigned domain. * Develops and maintains complete and accurate understanding of how the assigned domain area conducts its business. * Maintains detailed knowledge of the domain's current technology and infrastructure.
