Business Development Officer- Business Escrow (BES)

We are currently seeking a Business Escrow (BES) Sales Officer to join our rapidly growing, best-in-class escrow paying and exchange agent business. Our expansion into new markets has created a need for a high performing business development professional in our West region. Our leading edge product offering supports a diverse range of market transactions including M&A, Project and Municipal Finance, Private Placements and other dynamic transaction types. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience coupled with a track record of growing revenues and an established rolodex. . We are looking for a candidate who is successful at interfacing with all levels of management and understands the value of true collaboration, has high energy and maintains an optimistic view, even in challenging environments. The ideal candidate excels at converting networking leads and opportunities into wins.
This position currently reports into the National Sales manager of the business. This position will cover the West Region and actual location is flexible (within footprint) assuming the candidate can efficiently and effectively cover CA, NV, AZ.
What we are looking for:
You will develop and drive a nimble, innovative growth strategy to source business from multiple channels including, but not limited to: Law firms, PE & VC firms. IBs and Corporates
You will partner with Marketing and Product teams to develop messaging and servicing offering platforms that will drive success in your region.
You will become a trusted "go-to" resource for internal banking colleagues to help build a robust internal referral pipeline.
You will develop and execute a regional industry plan (eg. conferences, events, associations, ad placements, thought leadership pieces) to help expand brand awareness and additional sources of new business.
You will be the voice of the client and the broader marketplace to the BES management team
You will participate in business strategy sessions and work actively with BES teammates to brainstorm out-of-the box market disruption ideas
You will report and track activity in corporate CRM tool
You have been at this for a while and understand what it takes to grow revenues
5 years of proven success directly growing revenues in an escrow & payment servicing business line, or a closely related service / industry.
You know how to organize your day and various activities; are comfortable with and understand the subtleties of communication to various stakeholders - internal and external - and are fanatical about timely and responsive follow-up.
People know who you are and will take your calls - existing (deep) network of relationships with Law Firms, PE / VC's and other related influencers / buyers of our services.
You are battle-tested; do not have a fear of rejection and recognize that "no' means "not now"
You see a crowded room as an opportunity to - introduce the Firm; establish new contacts; source new business and capture market
Ability to travel - time on the road does not intimidate you.
