Summary:

The Business Development Marketing Specialist will manage a variety of marketing communications, sales support and new business development activities, including marketing programs to support inbound and outbound developer-prospect leads development. Will maintain leads databases and coordinate closely with Marketing and Partner Acquisition (PAR) groups.

Job Details:

Essential Functions:

  • Researching, developing and maintaining outbound lead databases.

  • Industry research for new verticals to demonstrate understanding of each new vertical and fluency to talk to their developers.

  • Manage related web assets; vet and research any inbound leads for priority PAR distribution.

  • Maintaining Master Tradeshow schedule and working with PAR team to ensure preparedness for upcoming shows.

  • Manage registration and on-site resources.

  • Planning for shows: sponsorships, booth materials and email support prior to shows.

  • Website content and SEO strategy.

  • Managing email marketing campaigns to assist PAR team with inbound lead generation.

  • Coordinate additional Corporate Marketing projects as required.

  • Facilitate projects and marketing deliverables, through Communications/Creative Services, for partner acquisition and prospecting efforts.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in the areas of: Lead prospecting and associated marketing activities and General market research utilizing online and other resources

  • Ability to think strategically and tactically

  • Ability to research and communicate industry knowledge for prospect databases as well as products, services and value propositions delivered by OpenEdge

  • Ability to effectively develop and manage projects to completion with limited supervision

  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational, time-management and follow through skills. Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, work well under pressure, prioritize multiple projects and meet critical deadlines

  • Experience in Payments or other FinTech companies a plus

  • Proficiency in Google docs

  • SalesForce CRM experience

  • Marketing Automation experience such as Pardot (preferred)

  • Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization

On the LCS team we drive consistent high performance, make continuous improvements in delivering high-level sales support, deliver timely responses, and improve processes in support of increased sales activity and productivity. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time engaging with new customers and pursuing new business. The TNBDS will comprehend and utilize product features, benefits, and applications accompanied with selling skills to identify and qualify leads, initiate the sales process and successfully promote and consummate the sales of Company products to Molecular Diagnostics (MDx) customers. New business growth and a superior customer experience are the driving factors for success in this role. Responsibilities * The TNBDS will partner with field based Business Development Managers (BDM's), Business Leads, and R&D Scientists to provide deep scientific and workflow expertise to key MDx customers. * Leverage industry contacts and expertise to find and develop new sales opportunities. * Partner with BDM's to provide a deep level of molecular biology knowledge and advice to key customers. * Leverage expertise to train BDM's and other sales teams as needed. * Participate/lead tradeshow presence for the LCS molecular biology business. * Provide key "Voice of Customer" feedback to the business team to help shape product development strategies. * Participate in regular LCS sales team meetings and mechanisms (e.g., forecasting, team meetings, etc.). * Make sales visits to all organizational levels and functional areas where purchasing decisions are made. * Utilize data sources to analyze and develop sales opportunities with the greatest return on investment (ROI). Communicate key competitive activities, market trends, and changing customer development plans and priorities, which include emerging customers. * Work with the LCS field team to achieve full account management and team selling and sharing. * Regularly provide written and verbal communication of successes, failures, best practices, to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region, and sales organization. * Communicate with key decision makers at all accounts for product information, sales presentations, and information through telephone, e-mail, and written correspondence. * Communicate success stories and market information amongst peers, internal marketing, and product management organizations.
