The Trinity Industries Customer Solutions team is seeking a Business Development Manager in Dallas, TX!

This role will be responsible for selling the TrinityRail Platform to prospects and customers with railcar and rail service needs. As the BDM you will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships as well as developing and sourcing opportunities with new customers. Additionally, this role assume responsibility for understanding Trinity's capabilities and positioning Trinity as the provider of choice in the marketplace.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the relationship for leads, prospects, and all customer accounts

  • Manage the end to end sales cycle from lead to order while utilizing various models of communication (email, phone, virtual meetings, social media) to engage customers

  • Achieve revenue, profit and new customer quotas and other objectives set by inside sales leadership

  • Ensure a seamless handoff to customer delivery team for order execution

  • Coordinate with market strategy to grow leads into new customers

  • Utilize technology (such as SalesForce, Tableau, MS Teams) to efficiently manage multiple accounts

  • Set account strategies to optimize internal resources to meet customer needs

  • Oversee proposal through to order process and act as decision maker for complex/critical customer situations

  • Achieve forecasted quotas to meet sales objectives

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Agriculture and Construction/Metals and/or Energy markets and also the products and services TrinityRail offers to support our customers

  • Travel occasionally as needed

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • 5 years of overall experience in Sales with concentrated experience in related industry, B2B Sales & Leasing

  • Knowledge of Energy, Agriculture and Construction and/or TrinityRail products and services

  • Experience Solution Selling with ability to sell according to TrinityRail Sales Playbook

  • Knowledge of various technologies to support remote (non-face to face) selling
