Business Development Manager for prominent global law firm. This position specifically focuses on proposals and training and candidate will provide leadership and drive strategy and execution of firmwide RFP responses, team processes and other business development initiatives.

This position participates in a variety of interesting and important Business Development activities including development of the marketing training curriculum. This position has two direct reports a Specialist and a Coordinator. Candidate will oversee the process for responding to firmwide RFPs/RFIs; including, leading kick off meetings and go/no go discussions, participating in strategy sessions, drafting targeted, high quality content and updating and managing responses to questions about the firm.

Duties include: Building relationships with other departments that contribute to RFPs, such as pricing, accounting, the Office of General Counsel, IT and others; coaching attorneys for client pitches and presentations; managing the firms proposal and pitch tracking database; coordinating with business development team making sure that attorneys participate in post-RFP evaluations to obtain feedback; work closely with senior team members/stakeholders to develop and manage business development training for attorneys; manage/track/analyze client preferred provider arrangements (PPAs) to ensure maximization of opportunity; refine use of business development tracking and reporting to facilitate and enhance business development activities. Requirements:

Bachelors degree required, at least 3 years of experience in professional services marketing and business development, prior successful accomplishment in marketing and business development; ideally in a law firm, outstanding project management skills, superior interpersonal and written communication skills, prior experience supervising a direct report a plus, proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required. InterAction, Adobe, and Publisher skills a plus. Salary is commensurate with experience.

We are seeking a D.C.-based Business Intelligence Manager within our Business Development Group (BDG). This position has three primary areas of responsibility: (1) Identify, gather, assess, share and effectively use qualitative and quantitative data to inform corporate business development planning; (2) champion the effective use of our Client Relationship Management (CRM) system as a BD tool throughout the full BD lifecycle, and (3) provide baseline direct and indirect beneficiary targeting information, both bid-specific and for priority countries, clients, etc. Responsibilities Primary activities include but are not limited to: provide quantitative and qualitative data and analysis reports to inform business development, which includes win/loss analysis across bid size brackets, prime vs sub, target geographic or technical areas, etc.; provide data and analysis to inform quarterly reports and presentations on BDG activities; lead efforts to use and champion CRM System and other systems; lead work remaining on CRM Upgrade; serve as primary point of contact for CRM vendors and manage CRM use for organization; encourage more effective use of CRM as a business development tool from positioning through award and provide training on CRM; represent BD needs in development and upgrade of systems; serve as point of contact for and champion use of GovWinIQ; and ensure BDG SharePoint website meets the needs of the division. In addition, this person will work with technical staff to establish data set criteria for regional-, country-, provincial- and local-level research to inform proposal bid development. They will also provide data to assess vulnerabilities and correlations between poverty, food insecurity, undernutrition, livelihood characteristics etc., used to estimate the effects of these relationships in a stated geographic area. The Business Intelligence Manager will conduct in-depth, open-source research to obtain baseline direct and indirect beneficiary targeting information in support of specific bids and/or priority markets. This person will also identify in-country data resources that could be leveraged for information beyond open source. In addition, this position will collect and analyze data and present results and recommendations in standardized report formats. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications include a Master's degree in Business, Business Intelligence, Data Analysis or other related field; Bachelor's degree and additional years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree will be considered. Minimum four years of relevant experience, preferably in International Development and/or with non-governmental organizations. Strong analytical skills. Ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to visualize, articulate, conceptualize or solve complex solutions. Demonstrated ability to distill large quantities of information into concise, salient points. Demonstrated skill in CRM (Dynamics 365 or similar) strongly preferred. Demonstrated advanced skills in Excel required. Demonstrated skill with data visualization software strongly preferred. (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Demonstrated skill in research and data mining strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate data heavy information in an easily understandable manner. Proven ability to write and communicate coherently and persuasively.
