Business Development Manager, Project Execution

Hydro Aluminium Metal a leading supplier of extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods and high-purity aluminum with a global production network of around 5,000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Qatar, and recycling facilities throughout Europe and in the U.S., two-thirds of our primary aluminum production is based on renewable energy.

Summary/Objective

As Manager of Business development and Project Execution, you are responsible to define Hydro's strategic direction in a high growth, dynamic business unit across the recycling value chain, and mature the identified projects through the entire execution timeline

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Work with Portfolio & Strategy Manager to identify new recycling growth opportunities across the entire value chain of the business unit, from scrap sourcing and sorting to the production of aluminum products.

• Determine potential acquisition targets, perform detailed valuation analyses, and participate in teams to pursue acquisition opportunities.

• Collaborate with asset managers to further develop Hydro's current recycling asset portfolio.

• Perform profitability analyses of recycling investment proposals.

• Mature the identified opportunities through implementation.

• Act as project manager for assigned recycling growth projects, from identification to start-up.

Competencies Required

• Ability to move projects from analysis to implementation.

• Competence in applying quantitative and analytical methods to business opportunities.

• Technical Acumen and project management skills.

• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, knowledge of PowerBI and SAP is desirable.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to align stakeholders to a common goal.

• Ability to work independently and manage internal and external resources to deliver projects.

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in engineering or business required.

• Project Management (PMP) certification is highly desirable.

• Designation as a Professional Engineer (PE) is helpful.

• Minimum of five years' experience with strategic business growth activities and proven track record in executing projects through maturity.

• Knowledge of the aluminum or metals industry is desirable.
