The Business Development Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management for a specific global account. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor deployment projects and engage resources. You will define a C-level relationship strategy within the account, including engaging with Hussmann senior leadership team for executive sponsorships, coordinating executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Contribute to annual sales plan for this global account; develop and implement account strategies to achieve sales and growth targets.
Responsible for financial results, forecasting and pricing strategy.
Coordinate Hussmann sales efforts for the account globally; develop and negotiate customer contracts as necessary.
Develop the strategy to grow and support the account globally.
Establish key relationships with customer's business segments globally and assist customer sales team in product approvals, project bids, and new product introductions.
Serve as focal point for customer communication on topics including contract negotiations, joint development, global bids, sustainability, and local content.
Collaborate across customer's matrix organization; connecting various parts of the customer's organization as necessary to leverage full potential of Hussmann offerings.
Provide a conduit to share best practices between various countries.
Act as advocate for the customer within Hussmann, coordinating with internal stakeholders as necessary to meet customer needs; own problem resolution.
Evaluate business opportunities, develop specific customer value propositions and plans for implementation, and selling value-added solutions.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
10 + years of technical sales experience People management experience required
Deadline and goal driven self-starter
Customer interfacing experience; individual needs to understand customer needs and decision-making processes
Familiarity with Hussmann product, services, and processes
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50%
