Qualifications required:
Ability to demonstrate experience in a consultative business development role and an aptitude for solution-based selling.
Proven success of working within a highly competitive market. Demonstrate a dynamic and consultative approach to business development within the Travel Industry.
Ability to build credibility and influence others to effectively manage senior customers.
Thrive in developing long-term sustainable partnerships that prospects can see benefit from.
Proficiency in using MS Office (including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Sharepoint).
A willingness to learn and try new things
The ideal candidate:Is someone with a clear understanding of the company and position in the marketplace, who can efficiently prospect for potential new clients using multiple channels, including calls that drive engagement, networking, trade show/conference attendance, tender sites, and referrals. The BDM will need to identify Travel Industry market trends, demonstrate an understanding of our product line and the value proposition to the prospect, as well as prepare concise and effective presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
