Position Summary: Plan, direct, or coordinate marketing, sales activities, policies and programs for all of MFCP FPFA products. Develop pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing the firm's profits or share of the market while ensuring the firm's customers are satisfied. Oversee product development or monitor trends that indicate the need for new products and services for FPFA products.

Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for locations in our Southwest District which includes, Kern Valley to San Diego, Tempe, Arizona and St. George, Utah.

  • Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services and to substantially grow MFCP's FPFA business.

  • Assume leadership role for engineering team working collaboratively to develop region and company appropriate vision and structure.

  • Visit each MFCP location in first six months and on a regular schedule spending time with Territory Sales Managers, Branch Managers, Hydraulic Product Managers and engineers. Gain insight and opinions on capabilities, expectations, needs, issues and skillset related to growing the FPFA Business.

  • Formulate comprehensive report on status and recommendations for presentation to senior management

  • Develop and deploy sales and marketing information to assist Territory Sales Managers in being able to facilitate "solutions driven conversations" for FPFA opportunities.

  • Identify and take advantage of the collective FPFA sales talent which extends to MFCP's Customer Service Representatives to have a company wide sales support to compliment regional sales support. The use of our ShoreTel phone system will allow for a more cost effective, technically strong sales support system.

  • Visit targeted customers with Territory Sales Managers on a regular cadence to ensure the facilitation of "solution driven conversations" regarding opportunities.

  • Develop a training program for each sales function based on "solutions driven conversations" to drive opportunities. The training program will be a shared responsibility utilizing:

  • Business Development Manager

  • Engineering staff

  • Parker Schools

  • Industry Schools

  • Hydac- Basic, Intermediate, Hands on training

  • ETS Hydro, Memphis, TN

  • Womac

  • On-line training (NFPA,IFPS)

  • Develop market specific strategies taking into account focused opportunities and regional competition.

  • Support and build Filtration and Pneumatic sales to the extent that dedicated Product Managers will be added to drive additional sales. Filtration represents a significant growth opportunity if properly supported and marketed.

  • Identify, develop, or evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.

  • Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, or return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.

  • Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate or participate in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services.

  • Consult with buying personnel to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand.

  • Negotiate contracts with vendors or distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks or developing distribution strategies.

  • Adhere to strict Safety Guidelines.

Basic Requirements:

  • Excellent written & oral communication. Strong Relationship building skills required.

  • Must be over the age of 21, as driving is required.

  • Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Strong computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.

  • Must be a good listener with above average reasoning ability and make minimal mistakes. Must be a good learner whom can assimilate product knowledge and skills as they are presented.

  • Must be able to understand and calculate gross profit/gross margin, add, subtract, multiply, and divide. The ability to calculate averages and other functions preferred

  • Experience with industrial distribution preferred. Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus.

  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

  • As MFCP is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative team environment, employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, in accordance with company guidelines.

Salary:

$80,000 - $100,000/depending on experience
