Job Summary:

Identify potential new business opportunities to increase the company's client base and revenue. Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee development of new business
  • Oversee demand generation, lead qualification, and account penetration strategies
  • Develop/maintain key relationships with clients
  • Sell a full portfolio of solutions (cloud/QA/mobile/web/managed services/consulting services)
  • Develop a new client base
  • Meet and exceed sales goals
  • Establish our company's name and presence among our clients and prospects
  • Participate in local professional and industry organizations; attend conferences and meetings
  • Win contracts for long-term consulting and development opportunities
  • Effectively sell to C-level executives among our clients and prospects
  • Communicate effectively w/ technical stakeholders
  • Serve as a key member of our internal sales team

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of professional experience
  • Previous industry selling consulting/professional services and/or software products. Experience selling IT services a definite plus
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing and able to interact/transact with C-level or technical audiences
  • Strong experience leveraging industry best practices with sales and business development
  • Strong experience networking and prospecting. Extensive network of existing contacts and prospects is a definite plus
  • Able to work on a team
  • Previous experience with CRM/ERP/CMS applications

POSITION SUMMARY Our products go into following real estate verticals: corporate, developer, real estate equity, aviation, healthcare and education. The BD Director will be responsible for leadership and management of a global team of international BD managers. Responsibilities include market research, development & execution of account/regional strategies that support the business plan for View's international business growth. Target real estate verticals to focus include commercial property developers, equity investors & corporate owners. The Director will personally establish strong executive and decision-maker relationships at target accounts as well as enable reporting BD team to do so with an ultimate goal to drive fleet-wide portfolio deals and establish View as the default choice at these accounts. This role will work closely with View's Regional Sales team to close on-going sales opportunities, and also identify and develop new sales opportunities from their customer executive relationships to drive these to successful wins. The Director will develop content expertise, relationships, record of successful wins and public profile to be considered a thought leader in International markets by both customers and internal View employees (executives and account/sales executives). ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES BD Director –leads the International BD team that is accountable for the following: * Development of a 6+ month opportunity pipeline in international regions that align with View's objectives. * Total business won and specifically wins that are attributable to the BD origination and/or significant contributions. * Thought leadership, as exhibited by speaking engagements at conferences and industry events. * Proactively identify and prioritize key projects for the Sales team. Develop how-to-win account & regional strategies. * Be the architect of partnership MOU agreements getting both customer and View buy-in. * Develop executive relationships with select key strategic large accounts, resulting in awareness and access to key decision makers * Get buy-in from View Executives & International team on account/regional strategies. Mentor, support implementation of these strategies. Provide proactive feedback and mentoring where needed to help team be successful * Work with Product Marketing, Sales Operations and Customer Success teams to develop customized benefits analyses, budgets, quotes, etc., communicating value and opportunity to customers DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Ability to build and manage a world class international BD team include remote team members. Hold team accountable for delivering results, coach team members, and recognize when team members need help and roll up sleeves to execute. * Extensive International business experience and ability to successfully drive and close wins at large, enterprise accounts. Must have the ability to navigate large, complex organizations, proactively identify and resolve roadblocks, and develop an effective account and vertical strategies. * Success factors: being relentless, self-driven, possesses an ownership mindset, and a blend of strategic and execution skills. * Strong influencing and persuasion skills towards potential customers, View account executives and View executives. Must be politely relentless – Smart Glass is still a new product category so market need and a sale is not automatic. The BD and Sales team needs to convince customers of the benefits of adopting View across their portfolios and organizations. * Adaptability: View is in an exciting, hyper-growth phase, and the needs of the company will continue to evolve. The individual must drive execution today, but also be ready to adapt to the company needs in future years. * Strong executive presence; ability to build relationships at different levels of customer organizations, from CxO to mid-level managers. * Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to stand-out. * Possess humility, ability to provide/receive candid feedback and ability to learn. * Bachelor's degree.
