Huntsman is seeking a Business Development Manager supporting the Performance Products Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Marketing Director Americas.

Job Scope

Develop, manage, and execute commercial strategies for America's region. Develop and manage strategic innovation projects and business development initiatives to ensure sustainable growth in the region which is in alignment with PP global business strategy.

Provide insightful market intelligence in different applications and market sectors that is consistent with PP business strategies.

As the Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Develop and present business cases for growth in line with strategic innovation objectives

  • Develop and manage strategic project plan with a focus on timely and effective execution, systemic project tracking with solid deliverables

  • Initiate/develop new business opportunities to add to the existing portfolio to expand HPP offering

  • Ability to assess and develop new capital investment opportunities, working with Manufacturing, Commercial, Marketing and Technology teams to identify and propose new projects

  • Provide solid market, business and competition intelligence, communication campaign and product and application promotion plans, gaining functional and sub regional teams' alignment, to achieve the aims of new business development

  • Work in collaboration with cross functional teams including Marketing, Manufacturing, Commercial & Technology in executing strategic innovation projects, and identifying & developing new projects & value propositions to achieve business growth targets

  • Interface with marketing team, customers, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders and be able to identify commercial and or technical opportunities to build an open innovative pipeline of development initiatives consistent with business strategy.

Required Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of bachelor's degree in science, Engineering or Business or related field is required.

  • MBA would be desirable but not required

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Specific Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of key Business & Marketing principles

  • Ability to develop new applications in different industries (especially in Polyurethane Additives market domain) by working with internal teams and customers

  • Ability to manage Projects effectively

  • Ability to manage and work through roadblocks to achieve targets

  • Ability to drive value improvement and deliver results

  • Ability to work as part of a diverse and high-energy team.

  • Ability to develop & present effective business cases

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively both internal (globally) and external.

  • Ability to promote discussions with others, seek guidance, and to make persuasive presentations.

  • Ability to self-manage and network effectively
