YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities for business growth and optimizing marketing strategies. This includes analysis of business processes and finances, implementation of new marketing/sales strategies and establishing effective internal and external networks. The Business Development Manager will identify patterns in financials, pipelines and other metric data sources that track business success for the HII business unit and provide recommendations for future sales/marketing strategies. This role is responsible for maximizing the marcom budget to create, promote, and launch marketing collateral, website content, webinars, and social media campaigns. He or she will define product, positioning, and promotion strategies on existing and future products/vendors. This role works closely with the sales, marketing, and the technical team to expand on key vendor strategies and develop new vendor relationships to attain revenue and GP targets.

Job Description:

  • Plans, coordinates, tracks, and manages authorized business development related projects.

  • Works with Account and Sales Managers, Industry Market Managers, Technical Market Managers and Brenntag business leaders to orchestrate BD projects within the strategic portfolio to ensure they are planned and executed in alignment with the overall program strategy and plan.

  • Develop and implement market plans/projects to increase sales and market share in accordance to company goals and objectives.

  • Possess strong analytical skills for identification of trends and patterns in financial data.

  • Create reports per vendor demonstrating patterns, trends and recommendations for future growth

  • Develop, maintain, and review market information relative to products, by, and industry trends both domestic and international.

  • Obtain, develop, and analyze competitive information to determine strategies.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with strategic vendors.

  • Coordinate marketing communication activities, such as website development, collateral production, trade show coordination, UL Prospector, etc.

  • Maintain and monitor UL Prospector and work closely with cross-functional teams to define promotions, focus products, and lead management

Other Responsibilities:

  • Furnish appropriate reports to management and vendors.

  • Understand and utilize Salesforce and Qlik.

  • Develop and run reports and/or dashboards

  • Document vendor meetings

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Financial acumen: Business Review presentation preparation including waterfalls, etc.

  • Provides clear and timely communication to relevant stakeholders.

  • Develops collaborative working relationships with the BNA business and other support groups.

  • Identifies opportunities to cross and up sell services.

  • Develops and execute product line and customer specific business plans.

  • Performs broad and/or specific market and product line performance analysis to create related strategies.

  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and all regulatory agencies, including but not

limited to: Brenntag Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust Compliance Policy, Confidentiality Agreement, DOL,

  • EEOC etc.

  • Supports the vision and mission of the company.

  • Approx. 25% Travel will be required.

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Business or Sciences.

  • Experience 10+ years in chemical industry

  • MBA preferred.

  • PC or HII experience preferred.
