You will be part of a dynamic, growing, and energized team - and your role is key to the success of ECS. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in:

  • Strong marketing and business development skills

  • Leading well, being a team builder, and making decisions skillfully

  • Understanding the local engineering and construction markets

  • Implementing Business Development strategies, including performing market research, managing the proposal development process, and meeting all submission deadlines

  • Generating leads, maintaining a client database, and attending various association and trade shows to meet potential clients during the day and also after regular business hours

What We're Looking For

  • BS in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is a huge plus
  • 5 - 10+ years of Business Development and/or Marketing experience - highly preferable if in the Geotechnical, Environmental Engineering, Materials Testing, or Facilities markets

VIEW JOBS 7/16/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-10-14T00:00 Job Description Responsible for Small Ship Combatants Business Development in support of the Small Combatants and Ship Systems (SCSS) Market Segment. * Engage across US Navy and International Customers to cultivate relationships and develop new business opportunities. * Execute strategic and tactical actions to position, shape, and capture opportunities for business growth. * Bring innovative solutions to the customer that grow the market segment by focusing on Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) reliability and improving LCS operational availability. * Demonstrated experience bringing innovative platform sustainment plans to fruition, including sparing programs. * Provide innovative approaches that proliferate LM hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E) controls solutions to additional ship classes and extend solutions to autonomy, automation, and unmanned surface vessels. * Position LM for opportunities in International Small Combatant Sustainment programs related to Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC) that maintain synergy with LCS sustainment initiatives. * Demonstrated leadership experienced and existing relationships within the IWSS organization. * Work across market segments to bring innovative LM GFE solutions and increased Lethality and Survivability to our platforms while helping the customer define modernization programs, upgrades, and case amendments. * Familiarity with LCS Program production efforts and working with shipyard partners. * Experience defining strategies to bring LM products or solutions to existing or new construction platforms which could include FFG 62 and USV programs. * Act as our external customers' advocate for Lockheed Martin * Build and maintain trusting and productive relationships with customers, influencers, and key opinion leaders * Develop a deep knowledge of customer desires, and shape associated requirements toward Lockheed Martin solutions. * Curate a pipeline of new business opportunities, to include qualification, pursuit and re-assessment on an ongoing basis to meet Long Range Plan objectives of the Business. * Manage Business Rhythm, Win Plan, New Business Funds, and Capture Team support for business development responsibilities. * Organize and implement Small Combatant operational analysis that demonstrates the need for LM's product and system solutions * Collaborate with RMS and IWSS Market Segments and various support functions to develop appropriate strategy, orders and investment plans and translate them to actionable initiatives. * Interface regularly across the LM enterprise to achieve business goals - including but not limited to other RMS Lines of Business, other LM Business Areas, LM Government Affairs (LMGA), and the Corporate Engineering and Technology Office (CETO). * Provide timely and high-quality staff work, including but not limited to presentations, white papers, activity reports, meeting notes, call plans and trade show support.
