The opportunity to work cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain and Marketing groups, among others, facilitating your ability to drive stronger alignment between Dollar General and the larger Category on short and long-term insight strategies. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Owns the development of Business Reviews and 4P strategy development in line with Business Unit objectives

  • Manages and steers the team's conversations with the MDO

  • Provides key insights for the development of Purina solutions to support ICBP category planning initiatives for the sales team

  • Develop strategic solutions to achieve identified objectives by utilizing tools and processes such as item optimization, customized marketing, shelf space optimization/utilization, in-store merchandising, pricing, and promotion planning

  • Responsible for identifying breakthrough in-store merchandising solutions that support Purina portfolio objectives

  • Communicates aligned business priorities and insights to Shopper Marketing to aide in the development of Shopper Marketing activities

  • Works in conjunction with Finance to deliver reporting of results & insight to business unit accompanied by clear and actionable plans to optimize business performance

  • Collaborates with Finance to develop annual Purina promotion strategy to maximize growth and offset competitive activity within the Customer

  • Owns the market/customer assessment of new distribution opportunities and the development recommendations on estimated volume, monthly turn, and pipeline estimates

  • Complete ad-hoc assessments and recommendation to assist in customer presentations or internal assessments

  • Manage use of Spectra Micro Marketing, Market Research, Consumer Decision Tree, Panel Data, Nielsen Data Retrieval/Analysis, ProSpace for Business Analyst teams

  • Ensures team and self are sufficiently trained and secures training for on-going development

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Travel up to 20% or as business needs require.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience in category development, account management or business analytics required.

This role will support the Dollar General Frito-Lay insights agenda across the PepsiCo portfolio. PepsiCo has a well-developed business within Dollar General and a strong track record of growth. This role is responsible for analyzing and translating consumer and category data into actionable strategies and tactics, and supporting creation of selling stories that are compelling and meaningful to drive profitable sales & market share gains. The person in this role will have opportunity to lead a variety of new and complex initiatives in order to drive future growth for PepsiCo.
