Private equity backed Denison Pharmaceuticals is a growing contract manufacturing company serving primarily the over the counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals and cosmetics categories. Our newly built state-of-the-art facility located in Lincoln, RI, has significant capacity for long-term growth.

The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in developing new business by driving sales activities in OTC pharmaceuticals as well as across other industries including but not limited to nutraceuticals, cosmetics and/or cosmeceuticals.


  • Sales activities for new customers
  • Providing leadership in the marketing and sales strategy,
  • Identifying and taking advantage of industry trends and growth opportunities.
  • Actively engage in new client identification and acquisition to generate meaningful
  • Prospect on a continual basis to identify, qualify and close new business.
  • Develop and maintain solid customer relationships with key executives, decision- influencers and decision-makers in the OTC pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics and/or cosmeceuticals segments.
  • Utilize client contacts, industry relationships, professional networks, and/or industry forums that will create new opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Assist in the development of a strategic plan to achieve revenue objectives set by the Board and Senior Executives and to promote revenue, diversification, profitability and growth as an organization.
  • Provide CRM updates on a weekly basis.
  • Report on market and customer trends.
  • Attend industry conferences to develop industry expertise and to build network, as increases in revenue needed.


  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Strong hunter profile with a proven track record of success in all respects of selling,
  • Minimum of 5-10 years proven sales experience as well as an active network of key industry decision makers in one or more of the following sectors: OTC pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics and/or cosmeceuticals
  • Self-motivated and driven to exceed customer and project goals, while contributing to a successful team environment, and offering the option to work remotely.
  • Well grounded in vetting new business within the organization and able to bring best practices to internal cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and client relationship skills with a focus on meeting client expectations
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication and presentation skills.

In your new role you will be reporting directly to a Product Development Director and will be integral to the continued success as well as the future growth of with our customers. Your role will interact with the business and customers in order to understand and solve their unique requirements for their business segments. You will be responsible for start-to-finish product development, requirement gathering, product improvement, and lead new product introduction into segments of the business. Reports to Product Development Director Principal Duties & Responsibilities: * Lead a product development team and multiple new product development and proficiency projects using stage gate model leading their completion from lab scale to commercialization by working with engineering, technology, business and manufacturing teams. * Plan, design, and conduct research projects according to established scientific methods, principles, and theories in order to solve problems, improve or generate new products, components, equipment, and processes. * Conduct fundamental or applied research to improve or to generate new products, components, materials, or applications. * Develop/Formulate new cable products and/or modify the existing materials to improve product functionality. * Participate where necessary in industry standards activities and regulatory bodies such as UL, CSA, IEEE and NEMA. * Interface with customers to develop new products or enhance present products to meet market needs and provide technical engineering support in response to customer requests. * Work with Business Team and end users to improve understanding of the technical aspects of our products in the marketplace. * Activities may include devising research methods; building models and prototypes; calculating and analyzing test results and preparing detailed reports with recommendations and conclusions. * Estimate the costs, resources, and time required to conduct a research project and monitor performance to ensure these targets are met. * Prepare calculations, specifications, and other technical documentation so that prototype designs can be manufactured and assembled. * Develop and maintain technical expertise on advances and innovations in research and science. Qualifications: Required: * Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Engineering in a related field. * 5-15 years of Product Development Engineering or combination with Design Engineering. * High EQ with a passion for supporting products that are cost effective and conducive to business success. * Experience working in cross-functional teams. Preferred: * 5-15 years of industrial experience. * 5 years of managerial experience. * Two to four years of product engineering experience in wire and cable products. * Two to four years of product engineering experience in wire and cable products. * Knowledge of Wire and Cable manufacturing and design. Work Environment/Physical Demands: * Works out of a normal office environment with standard office equipment available. * Will be required to sit, bend, kneel, squat, use keyboard, read, write, and speak fluently. * Employee will occasionally be required to lift and carry objects of 10-30 pounds as needed. * Employee will be required to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast paced, highly pressured environment and be able to respond efficiently and courteously to unanticipated problems and crisis. * This role is not typically exposed to adverse environmental conditions, except excessive eye strain and possible lifting injuries * When travel is necessary, will be exposed to typical travel environment and surroundings.
