NV5 is looking for a talented Business Development Manager to develop and maintain business development plans for multiple market sectors. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in marketing and business development in the AEC industry.
Responsible for the development of new business opportunities.
Client Development activities will include working with Director of Business Development to determine, plan and organize appropriate attendance at industry events (both day and evening) and initiating contact both in person and via telephone with potential new clients. Potential new clients could include Architects, building owners and their representatives, facility managers, etc.
Determine best way to develop and track leads for NV5, follow up on leads and report on status weekly.
Follow up on leads provided by NV5.
Work with Director of Business Development and Group Leaders / Collectives to develop and maintain business development plans for each market sector.
Initiate, develop and track relationships with prospective clients.
Research potential projects and develop and implement strategy to procure the projects.
Coordinate with NV5 Engineering and Marketing Department staff members to ensure that appropriate qualifications packages are submitted in response to newly developed opportunities.
May attend project interviews as requested.
May perform other duties to meet the operational needs of the firm.
Attend bi-weekly marketing meetings with marketing team.
Provide a weekly report of BD activity.
Committee level participation in industry related organizations.
Develop suggested plan for NV5 Tradeshows.
Participate in client events and develop ideas for targeted client contacts.
Use a combination of software packages including Microsoft Office Products, Deltek Vision and a hand held device while on the road.
Degree in Marketing or related field and at least 10 years' experience in a Marketing or Business Development role within the AEC industry; experience working in Higher Education, Healthcare, and/or Biotech fields a plus.
Must have an established business network within the AEC field and Legacy RDK market sectors.
Strong knowledge of computer use and current office technologies. Must be proficient in MS Office and Deltek CRM/vision.
Must be organized and detail oriented and good execution skills.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must have a valid driver's license.Candidate must not be working for a competing firm while employed with RDK/NV5.
