The Business Development Manager is a true 'hunter' solely focused on new business acquisition for a defined region or division. The BDM will identify trends and opportunities through data analytics and/or lead generation to develop, execute and expand sales and dealer recruitment program closing sales and achieving quarterly quotas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prospect for potential customers and develop growth strategies for increasing market share.
Establish relationships and convert new dealers to achieve sales quotas.
Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closing the sale.
Consult with prospects about business challenges and requirements ensuring customers understand and know how to utilize the Company's suite of digital tools and products including Watsco Ventures and eCommerce.
Work with technical staff and product specialists where required to address customer requirements.
Develop and maintain territory plans outlining how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis.
Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace.
Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.
Perform other related activities as assigned.
Demonstrated performance history in HVAC sales and/or new market development.
Proven success managing end- to- end sales process and exceeding sales targets.
Highly motivated self-starter.
Strong business/problem solving skills, high sense of urgency and strong communication/interpersonal skills.
Technology proficiency (laptop, internet, mobile-proficient, Microsoft Office and online data analysis tools).
BA/BS Degree preferred.
