Summary:

The Business Development Manager is a true 'hunter' solely focused on new business acquisition for a defined region or division. The BDM will identify trends and opportunities through data analytics and/or lead generation to develop, execute and expand sales and dealer recruitment program closing sales and achieving quarterly quotas.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for potential customers and develop growth strategies for increasing market share.

  • Establish relationships and convert new dealers to achieve sales quotas.

  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closing the sale.

  • Consult with prospects about business challenges and requirements ensuring customers understand and know how to utilize the Company's suite of digital tools and products including Watsco Ventures and eCommerce.

  • Work with technical staff and product specialists where required to address customer requirements.

  • Develop and maintain territory plans outlining how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis.

  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace.

  • Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.

  • Perform other related activities as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated performance history in HVAC sales and/or new market development.

  • Proven success managing end- to- end sales process and exceeding sales targets.

  • Highly motivated self-starter.

  • Strong business/problem solving skills, high sense of urgency and strong communication/interpersonal skills.

  • Technology proficiency (laptop, internet, mobile-proficient, Microsoft Office and online data analysis tools).

  • BA/BS Degree preferred.
