As the BDM - Channel Development and Operations, you will work alongside Chefs' Sales reps, Marketing and Partner Programs. A key member of Chef's Business Development team, the BDM will ensure the development and management of Chef's relationships with Channel Partners (eg SHI, Lifeboat, CDW, etc) who transact our products with end customers. Work with Sales Operations and Legal to set up contracts with Chef's resellers and distributor partners, including negotiations of partner agreements, and programmatic Channel margins and incentives offered to a reseller.

This position is located in Seattle WA and reports to the VP of Business Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • In Collaboration with Sales, support deals transacted through Chef's resellers and distributor partners, including structuring deals that ease transactions for Chef by leveraging resellers existing contracts with an end customer

  • Manage and resolve Channel conflicts

  • Manage Chef's deal registration process to generate opportunities from resellers and distributors

  • Regular reporting, data cleansing and analytics including partnership with marketing operations to support channel campaigns

  • Work with partner programs, field, and partner marketing to define and execute channel marketing programs and promotions

  • Own communications rhythms and strategy for Resellers and Distributors

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in partner or channel sales

  • Experience in managing distribution and resale partnerships

  • Great communication skills with the ability to explain and translate complex business concepts into simple and intuitive communications.

  • Able to coordinate across many teams to iterate and deliver in a fast-moving startup environment.

  • Proven ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.

  • Data-driven: use data to measure results and inform decision making and strategy development.

  • Experience with Salesforce Community Cloud a plus.

  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
