Business Development Manager (BDM) Laboratory and Healthcare

Position Summary:
CSA Service Solutions is seeking a talented and competitive Business Development Manager that thrives in an evolving, exciting environment. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This is a full-time position located in either the West (Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix) or East (Philadelphia, Charlotte, Atlanta) regions. The ideal candidate has a bachelors degree with five to seven years of outside sales experience and a track record of being the top salesperson (preferred sales experience in the laboratory, critical power, healthcare, security and kiosk business sectors).

The Business Development Manager works to improve an organizations market position and achieve financial growth. This person defines long-term new business strategic goals, identifies new business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

The successful candidate will be skilled at being a cross functional liaison. This person will always have the best interest of the customer in mind, while working to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue for CSA. The BDR will be responsible for finding new customers, presenting to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future.

The Business Development Manager will also help manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive. The BDM will call on clients and make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict their clients future needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities

  • Always be closing!

  • Identify and develop key industry relationships to create key partnerships for new business growth

  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.

  • Represent CSAs brand and passion with professionalism at all times

  • Research potential new business opportunities and prepare for new business presentations by engaging the right internal stakeholders for expertise

  • Diligent follow up and follow through with prospective new business clients

  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, to craft unique value propositions and differentiators.

  • Develop and maintain sales pipeline with appropriate stage tracking

  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.

  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the companys CRM or other sales management system.

  • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met through cross functional collaboration

  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.

  • Work with internal CSA team to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.

  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company being prospected and create solutions accordingly

Education:

Business development management positions require a bachelors degree and 3-5 years of sales or marketing experience. Experience selling in the Healthcare, Critical Power, Security, Laboratory and/or Kiosk business sectors is preferred.

Other Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of sales experience

  • Understanding around specialized selling environment in the laboratory and healthcare sector,

  • Ability to learn and discuss complex concepts comfortably

  • Experience in selling laboratory services a plus!

  • Comfortable selling and communicating with high level executives

  • Drive to win with ability to think outside the box to achieve sales objectives

  • Experienced and effective at consultative, solutions-based selling (familiar with QBS)

  • Passion for finding, identifying and CLOSING sales

  • Results-driven, self-starter, persistent, highly motivated to increase earnings despite rejection

  • Good verbal and written (email) communications skills

  • Exceptional follow up

  • Takes responsibility and ownership of sales process top to bottom

  • Proficiency with Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft Products

  • Must have experience with Salesforce

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent

  • Maintains and improves quality results by following standards; recommending improved policies and procedures

  • Keeps team informed of all activity, including timely input for and preparation of reports

  • Competitive spirit with a drive to win!

  • Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Identification of Customer Needs and Challenges and Territory Management

  • Drive to meet and EXCEED Sales Goals as defined by matrix with touchpoints and revenue goals

  • Professionalism
