Position Overview

The Business Development Manager is responsible for general sales activity, sales communications, and marketing support in a specified territory. Additionally, this position plays an integral role in the ongoing education of patients, hospital staff, physicians, and community members regarding the menu of services offered by Aveanna Healthcare. Responsible for driving revenue growth and working with location management to ensure profitability. Ability to cultivate a mature network of referrals throughout their perspective territory (may cover multiple locations).

Essential Job Functions

  • Market Private Duty Nursing, Therapy Services, and Medical Solutions to existing and potential referral sources to achieve established revenue targets assigned on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Identify and develop relationships with all sales targets including but not limited to:

o Physicians

o Discharge planners and Social workers in target accounts

o Case managers

o DME and Infusion Companies

  • Conduct in-services, and represent company at local, regional and state wide trade shows and conventions/conferences as assigned

  • Create and carry out a specific sales plans and market development plan in with company goals and objectives

  • Provide regular feedback to corporate management regarding sales activity and success in market development

  • Represent the company within the healthcare community with professional decorum and respect for the patient care process

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field; equivalent work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

  • Must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meet company standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of 25 pounds

  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting

  • Must be able to sit and climb stairs

  • Must have visual and hearing acuity

  • Must have strong sense of smell and touch

  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions

  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases

SUMMARY Freeman is seeking a Business Development Manager - Transportation to be responsible for marketing and selling Freeman Exhibit Transportation services to internal and potential external clients, and generating positive returns on all levels of domestic and international services. Works in conjunction with the Exhibit Transportation Manager to develop and promote new ideas for improving both inbound and outbound shipment share. Will also work closely with branch sales teams to train, consult, and develop customized programs for show management clients. Additional duties include: * Focuses on sales to organizations within an assigned customer market and/or segment. * Actively engages in the hunt. Makes a constant effort to find new business. Prospects customers through cold calls, networking, and/or referrals. Compiles and maintains list of prospective sales leads. * Sells all transportation lines of business and customizes the sale to meet client needs. Enthusiastically promotes Freeman Transportation with potential clients and employees. Promotes and sells the value of transportation services at show-site to potential exhibitors * Primarily manages the promotion, sales, and revenue generating initiatives * Develops inbound and outbound business solutions that increases visibility and improves branch revenue * Acts as a subject matter expert for branch sales employees and provides a broad range of client solutions for show management and exhibitors. * Collaborates with internal and external personnel, departments, vendors, etc. for the purpose of implementing and/or ensuring adequate level of services provided. * Presents collateral pieces and marketing solutions for the purpose of communicating and educating the value of transportation services * Provides a high level of customer service and resolutions at show-site * Manages assigned shows to include shipping, rating, billing, tracing, and duties required to close out shows. * Responsible for resolution of customer concerns as related to transportation services * Responsible for profit margins directly related to assigned shows. * Manages future schedule of clients and solicits appropriate future business. * Prepares sales collateral and makes face to face presentations when necessary. Modifies collateral as required to close the sale. * Entertains clients as necessary. * Quotes prices and credit terms. * Attends local and state industry meetings and functions as directed. * Produces and reviews orders with planner / coordinator and branch personal. * Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps sales. * Keeps track of travel expenses and submits travel expense reports as required. * Partners with Freeman Exposition Business Development and Client Solutions teams to meet the needs of show management. REQUIREMENTS * Minimum 3+ years related experience. * Proven the ability to successfully manage their own book of accounts in the profitable production of revenue opportunities. * Ability to apply principles of transportation sales and marketing * Familiarity with tradeshow transportation * Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists * Ability to effectively present information to staff and branch personnel at all levels * Ability to implement and measure corporate wide transportation initiatives, projects, and programs * Ability to meet deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; working with multiple projects, frequent interruptions, and changing work priorities * Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Software applications. * Demonstrated customer service and organizational skills.
