This individual will be a National Business Development Manager focused on consulting sales primarily through Anaplan. Working closely with the Anaplan sales organization during the software sales cycle to bring help bring in Huron to assist with the process both during and after the cycle. Leveraging both Anaplan and Huron relationships and strengths, this role will be expected to help position Huron to provide value added services and solutions leveraging the Anaplan platform to drive sales.

The success of a BDM will be contingent on having:

  • Strong solution sales skills

  • Deep understanding of the Anaplan value proposition developed through strong relationships with Anaplan's sales organization

  • Ability to liaison with Huron sales and service line leadership and align to Anaplan sales organization

  • Ability to develop Anaplan leads independently, work with the sales organization throughout the cycle or smoothly transition the client from the Anaplan sales organization to the Huron sales and services team

The individual will sell consulting and advisory services to the Offices of the CFO, CIO and others primarily in the Finance, Sales and Supply Chain planning processes with regards to leveraging technology to enable financial and operational transformation. Success may be found selling through the Anaplan sales organization or directly to the end user. If focused on the end user, the successful BDM will be tapped into broad and deep relationships in his/her region.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Prospecting and developing new clients to expand and maintain an extensive pipeline of qualified new client opportunities

  • Achieving annual sales goals and market penetration targets

  • Partnering with internal Huron leaders to introduce Huron's solutions to clients

  • Co-developing client strategies with Sales and Marketing leadership and other practices

  • Defining growth opportunities through industry, client, and competitor analysis

  • Assuring high levels of client service and satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Anaplan sales cycle and product offerings, or the equivalent

  • Extensive experience in selling professional services solutions .

  • Proven ability to build and sustain long term relationships with clients to drive revenue.

  • Extensive experience in the development and execution of the sales process to close the business deal through executive level contacts.

  • Masterful ability at identifying client issues, setting priorities and providing solutions based upon Huron's offerings.

  • Undergraduate Degree (e.g. BA, BS). MBA a plus

Additionally, there will be cross-sell opportunities with respect to ethics and GRC online training and eLearning courses, and affiliated consulting / advisory services. The BDM will be responsible for identifying client prospects within their assigned territory. Their focus will be new customer acquisition and executing effective sales campaigns that result in closed business for the company. Successful candidates will have a "hunter" mentality with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, manage several simultaneous sales campaigns, and transition closed accounts to colleagues in professional services, account management, and support. Job Responsibilities: * Meet annual sales goals for our IRM solution and services, with a core focus on selling ethics and compliance related software-as-a-service (SaaS) to both enterprise and SMB accounts. * Qualify target accounts using "Solution Selling" methodologies and primarily hunt into prospected accounts to sign new logos, while also hunting into untapped areas within our existing book of business. * Execute a consultative sales process from opportunity identification, through negotiation of license agreement, in order to meet quarterly and annual sales goals. * Manage all aspects of a research based, strategic sales process to identify new opportunities based upon understanding client pain points. * Manage and coordinate the smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales activities, efficiently moving target accounts from qualification through to evaluation, technical review, and proposal, following through with successful negotiation to deal closure. * Deliver effective executive presentations to demonstrate compelling business use case and strategic partnership based upon SAI Global differentiation and unique value within the IRM and E&C space. * Maintain accurate account and opportunity information in Salesforce.com, including timely updates to opportunity pipeline and monthly forecasts. * Support delivery of timely response to requests for information (RFI) and proposal (RFP) for well-qualified opportunities. * Work collaboratively with other internal departments, particularly product management, services, and customer support, to enable effective client implementations, in addition to ongoing support and satisfaction. * Utilize Microsoft Office 365 tools to communicate and strategize with other SAI Global sales and service team members on cross selling opportunities within assigned territory. * Represent SAI Global as a thought leader in the IRM and E&C software / solutions markets, attending industry groups and conferences, while providing critical market perspective, trends insight, and feedback to SAI leadership. * Actively engage in industry networking events to establish credibility and develop referrals for new opportunities. * Work effectively in a home office environment (~40-50%), while being comfortable traveling (~40-50%) to meet onsite with clients, in addition to attending occasional, ad-hoc meetings onsite in our Chicago, IL office (< 5%). Qualification and Experience: * Proven track record as a senior software/services sales leader, with a track record that aligns closer to hunting new business and signing new logos versus farming existing accounts – ideally 8+ years of professional sales experience. * Proven experience selling multi-year, subscription based SaaS products – mostly big ticket ($500K-1M+ TCV) deals, but also SMB ($50K-450K TCV) sales, typically on a 6-12 and 3-4 month cycle, respectively. * Ability to present and demonstrate the benefits of using SAI360 IRM software and affiliated services to potential clients, becoming well-versed in our core solution offerings. * Ability to develop interest in SAI360 within assigned Midwest USA based territory. * Strong business acumen and confidence/comfort meeting with and selling to senior executives – C-Level, general counsel, attorneys, compliance directors, etc. * Adept ability to create strong customer relationships and leverage them for cross-sell opportunities, with expert sales process management skills. * General understanding of IRM solutions, business ethics or GRC challenges, and/or standards and regulations within corporate markets – strongly preferred! o In the perfect world, the BDMs we hire will be able to grasp and smoothly articulate to clients the challenges involved in complying with key risk and regulatory requirements. Ideally, they will be able to establish and implement enterprise compliance strategies, in addition to consulting with customers on how they can more effectively manage compliance with changing laws and regulations (typically automated via our solutions). * Basic technical ability with Microsoft Office 365 products, Salesforce.com or other popular CRM brands (IE. Siebel), LinkedIn / other social media platforms, and remote meeting tools (IE. GoToMeeting). * Education – degree from an accredited four year college or university is strongly preferred, but not strictly required.
