Altus Group is currently seeking experienced Business Development Managers to help lead its growth initiatives in this exciting market for our services. This position will work with executive and business development leadership to develop and execute go to market strategy around Altus's state and local tax and advisory services.

The role of the Business Development Manager is to develop and foster relationships with prospective clients of the business, to show them how we can add value to their business and become a long-term partner with them. While a majority of time is spent positioning new client opportunities, some cross selling may be required. The Business Development Manager is also a market facing role, attending conferences and networking events to promote our company and services, and developing and cultivating relationships that can generate new business.

Qualified candidates will have a referenceable track record of working in a team environment to sell professional services, preferably with experience in selling property tax and other state and local tax services, as well as experience in working with CRM systems, such as Salesforce or other comparable products, and an ability to work comfortably with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business, for our state and local tax services, with companies with whom we have no recent engagements

  • Attend network events, conferences, trade shows, etc., to promote Altus services and make connections with prospective clients

  • Develop new business for the company through cross selling and upselling additional services to our existing client base

Position Requirements:

  • 4 year university or college degree

  • At least 5 years prior working experience in business development and sales, both cold and warm calling, is required

  • Experience and/or knowledge of state & local taxes is preferred

  • Intermediate knowledge and use of Salesforce or a similar CRM system

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint

  • Ability to work independently and make decisions on own, as well as being able to work with a team

  • Extremely organized and proactive

  • Ability to network and make new connections

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to contribute both independently and as a team member

VIEW JOBS 2/15/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-15T00:00 Position Mission: This position is responsible for aggressively promoting and selling all assigned product lines to or in conjunction with the NAPA Distribution Center, NAPA Auto Parts store and the customers of the NAPA Auto Parts store. The ASG Business Development Manager will be responsible for achieving maximum market penetration, drive market growth, increase sales and profitability of assigned lines by creating a superior customer experience by using service-oriented sales techniques. The duties and responsibilities listed should not be considered all inclusive. Responsibilities: * Apply ASG mission, vision & values * Achieve minimum of 100% sales quotas and all activity standards set by the Vice President Sales and Marketing * Deliver results against the key metrics of store level line changeovers, new program execution, and planogram displacement/expansion * Utilize all available sales reports to identify areas of opportunity or concerns at the individual account level * Provide ASG sales and support to the CSM's, CSS's, regional sales managers, distribution centers, NAPA stores, and installer/dealer customers * Educate, train and present ASG programs and product lines throughout the NAPA system * Required to make a minimum amount of calls on Distribution and Key NAPA Stores. Assist Distribution Centers in meeting Store Product Knowledge Meetings as well as countermen and outside salesmen training * Provide training & sales presentations to customers (from 2 to 250+ attendees) at all levels of Supply Chain * Address all customer sales and service questions and problems in a timely manner * Support Distribution Centers and NAPA stores at special events like national conferences, Key owner meetings, and trades shows * Maintain and produce on time any and all reports as deemed necessary by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing * Ensure proper maintenance and protection of company vehicles, inventory, equipment and other assets. * Use company funds and assets in the company's best interest * Required travel 1-4 nights (overnight) per week along with working early mornings, evenings and weekends Experience, Education, and Abilities: * Strong presentation and training skills * Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing or 3 years of equivalent experience required * Have knowledge/experience of automotive aftermarket industry * Exposure and/or experience with an array of enterprise applications and systems required * Provide creative & innovative solutions to opportunities and problems while possessing analytical problem-solving skills * Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment while remaining organized * Must be self-motivated and detail oriented. * Independent judgement is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish diversified work objectives. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent external and internal customer service skills while enthusiastically communicating a positive sales attitude and mentality * Quality Management – Looks for ways to improve and promote quality, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness both internally and externally * Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel along with use and knowledge of various search engines GPC believes the fair and equitable treatment of employees, customers, suppliers and other persons is critical to fulfilling its vision and goals.
