Being a Business Development Manager at Adobe Ad Cloud

We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing Business Development team at Adobe Ad Cloud. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the management of media partnerships with a focus on SSPs. The ideal candidate will have a background in digital advertising, ad serving, and partner development.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing SSP integrations within the Ad Cloud

  • Vet new SSP partnerships for Ad Cloud

  • Act as technical and operational support for inventory partners and client services team

  • Collaborate with Client Services and Sales to identify new client-specific opportunities

  • Develop new packages and offerings aligning Adobe Ad Cloud clients and partners

  • Educate clients and teams on SSP offerings and help make recommendations according to client needs

  • External facing partner support, integration management and issue troubleshooting

Requirements:

  • Large advertising agency, ad tech platform (DSP/SSP), or publisher experience

  • Strong ability to negotiate inventory terms with SSPs

  • Highly organized with an operational mindset

  • Experience in media sales or business development a plus

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team

  • Top Tier partner communication and presentation skills

  • Understanding of Tableau, Qubole or similar tools desired

  • Willingness and desire to be a key individual contributor and strong team player

  • Knowledge and understanding of programmatic buying, the publisher ecosystem, and online media metrics/analysis

  • Experience working with or at an SSP

The BDM will be responsible for developing a global customer base and maintaining a project pipeline. He/she would be working across the global electronics value chain, including suppliers, partners, converters and OEMs, with many companies based in Asia. This is an exciting role given that Zymergen is introducing new polymers and products to the markets. He/she will own and is accountable for executing on agreed-upon deliverables. This means that both strategy development as well as operational tasks and coordination are part of the job scope. The diversity of tasks and complexity will ask for excellent communication and matrix management skills as well as an ability to set priorities both on a strategic and operational level. Excellent communication skills are needed, both internally and externally. Creative problem solving is important in order to navigate new opportunities with clients to introduce our new solutions. Zymergen is planning to move the world in Materials and focuses on Specialties based on its unique and distinctive capabilities available thanks to Industrial Biotechnology. This position offers a unique possibility to lead that change. Immediate Responsibilities Include * Develop business development plan for each platform * Understand and communicate value proposition of our materials relative to competitive products * Identify target applications, unmet needs and key customers * Communicate customer needs and trends internally as needed to meet external delivery commitments * Understand required product attributes based on the application * Seek out new contacts and applications through professional network, tradeshows, etc. * Travel > 50% Qualifications/Experience * Technical background, prefer a BS in chemical/mechanical engineering, chemistry or polymer science * 7-10 years of Industry Experience, including 3 years of selling chemical or specialty materials in complex global supply chains * Established network of contacts in Electronics * Experience working with customer product designers and material specifiers is a sales or engineering role * Manufacturing experience to optimize/troubleshoot product or process with support from Application Development Engineers * A demonstrated track record of bringing new innovative specialty products to the market * Experience working across multiple functions to deliver results - R&D, product design, manufacturing, supply chain, purchasing management, quality control, etc. * Experience with serving customers in diverse and global industries * Demonstrated ability to drive projects and timelines * Demonstrated capability to manage and achieve competing priorities This is a unique and pivotal role in a fast-growing company and offers the opportunity to shape the future of specialty materials and our customer experiences.
