About The Role As a Business Development Lead, you will take a strategic, structured and proactive approach to growing our business through partnerships that drive brand awareness, monetization and user growth for Duolingo. What you’ll do Grow our partnership portfolio by sourcing, conceptualizing, negotiating and implementing opportunities with measurable impact to business metrics, such as user growth, subscription revenue and brand awareness Build compelling and quantifiable business cases for strategic bets to pursue Work closely with Product/Engineering to influence product integrations vital to get strategic partnerships off the ground Collaborate with Marketing teams to amplify partnership launches through buzzworthy activations What we’re looking for… 3 years of business development experience, having successfully developed partnerships in the digital consumer tech (B2C) space Experience in conceiving, developing, and implementing partnerships throughout their full cycles, from deal sourcing, to building business cases, negotiating agreements, driving and tracking results Critical thinking and structured thought process, with skills to build and communicate compelling, data-driven narratives Ambitious spirit with a track record of achieving great results by building long-lasting external relationships, collaborating effectively with multiple internal teams to drive ideas to execution, and taking a test and scale approach Excellent communication and presentation skills Excellent analytical skills Experience working closely with strategy, product and engineering colleagues Exceptional Candidates have Experience with mobile apps and subscription services Relevant work experience in consulting or banking MBA from reputable university Proficiency in a 3rd language Excitement for our mission to make high-quality language learning accessible to everyone Why You’ll Love Working Here… Language learning opportunities Catered in-house lunches, and breakfast and dinner options Company-wide Hackathon PTO and company holidays Frequent company-wide dinners, monthly celebrations, social clubs, and so much more We will do everything we can within reason to make sure that your interview takes place in an environment that fairly and accurately assesses your skills. The actual salary within the range is determined by many factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Salary Range: $124,100 - $258,000 USD
