About this Role

Strava is looking for a natural go-getter to be an intern on the Business Development Team. The BD Team is rapidly growing as Strava expands its business offerings to athletically-focused brands. This role will be part of that effort and responsible for:

  • Assisting partner managers with pitching and onboarding business partners

  • Assessing partner requirements, and finding the best Strava product recommendation based on their needs

  • Developing proposals that are tailored to each partner

  • Educating brands on the value of partnering with Strava

  • Managing multiple projects with a variety of complexities and deadlines

  • Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline

  • Analyzing the effectiveness of existing and previous Strava campaigns to identify strengths and weaknesses

About You

  • Recent college graduate with an interest in business development

  • Great at balancing multiple projects at once and have the ability to appropriately prioritize each

  • Think outside the box - whether it's crafting a compelling pitch deck, finding data to advance a partner proposal or coming up with creative ways to market partners to Strava athletes

  • An organized self starter who can work autonomously while collaborating with others

  • Results-focused but can balance art and science when making decisions and measuring success

  • Are just as comfortable in a spreadsheet as you are in a partner-facing presentation

What We're Looking For:

  • 1-2 years of advertising or business development experience

  • Proficiency with MS Office and Google Drive - formula knowledge and slide production is a must!

  • Experience managing and updating CRMs

  • Understanding of what makes a compelling pitch / proposal

  • Project management experience

  • The ability to work in a cross-functional team

  • Experience working on tight deadlines

  • A background in digital advertising is a bonus, but not mandatory

We ensure compliance and reduce risk through programs like the Enterprise Corrective Action Program. We also analyze trends and address performance gaps, provide field and office support, and oversee programs that help our people lead a safe and healthy lifestyle-on and off the job. Position Summary Participate in cross-organizational projects that will maintain and strengthen the Business Operations infrastructure, specifically the risk and compliance activities. Support as needed for compliance processes as a liaison to partner Lines of Business. Support compliance action plans and follow-up on open items. Develop and update process maps and ensure that all supporting documentation is correct and complete for responding to requests from external auditing entities. Specific activities: * Compliance regulations: Validating grouping of regulations and map Cal/OSHA , Fed OSHA, and DOT compliance requirement to Standards and into compliance system. * Project support: Support compliance and risk processes as a liaison with the Line of Business on shared compliance responsibilities across the Enterprise. * Development of standards and procedures: Review and update risk and compliance standards and develop stakeholder and communication plans to distribution. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or related field (students MUST be continuing education towards degree during and/or after internship) Desired Qualifications: * 3.0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA * Knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office® software programs * Ability to work in a team environment and support fellow team members * Strong problem solving and analytical skills * Strong communication skills, both oral and written * Takes initiative and can work independently with minimal direction PG&E typically is unable to provide VISA sponsorship to students on an F-1, J-1 or other visa for this position .
